About this deal

Part II introduces a new requirement that most domestic electrical appliances which operate at a voltage of not less than 200 volts must be supplied fitted with a correctly fused and approved standard plug. As an alternative to fitting a standard plug an appliance may be fitted with a non-UK plug provided that an approved conversion plug is fitted. The reason they have special/specific plugs is that this circuit only has a 5amp fuse so you would never want to plug in most normal appliances. Hi, I have read other posts on similar subjects so I think I know the answer but thought i would post for comments. Australian & New Zealand Plug 2 Pole 10 A, 250 V Non Rewireable Male, Straight ( Clarke cable part number C4 )

IEC C14 shrouded 3 pin IEC plug, 250Vac / 10amp Non Rewireable Straight Male Connector ( Clarke cable part number C21 )For standard ear plugs noise reduction levels range from 16 to 38 decibels, though most we saw averaged around 25-27 decibels.

IEC C13 3 Pole 10A Kirby Type with clampable collar point Non Rewireable Straight Connector ( Clarke cable part number C16 ) KIRBY cable IEC C17 2 Pole 10A to 2×1.00mm cable Non Rewireable Angled Female Connector KIRBY ( Clarke cable part number C43 ) The amount of noise reduction they give - known as the attenuation value - is measured in decibels, or as a simplified noise-reduction level (SNR) figure. Responsibility for fitting a standard plug or converter plug will fall to the first supplier of the appliance in the UK. Custom plugs made of harder materials, or generic plugs that are too big or small, can rub where they sit in the ear and make it tender and painful. If worn inappropriately they can even break the skin. The moulded plug from the heater was replaced with one from the MK range (my preferred brand for accessories) and there was no further overheating issue. A cheaper and softer option - often disposable. They are rolled between your fingers to shape them before inserting them into the ear where they expand to fill the ear canal. It is a moulded plug and I'm concerned that if I replace it the 12 month warranty will be invalid. Is this the case? Ear defenders won't necessarily reduce noise better than correctly-worn ear plugs with the same attenuation but they're likely to be more suited to wearing for longer periods, may be designed to reduce noise at certain frequencies or have features such as built-in microphones, and might be more comfortable to wear. Wax ear plugs are harder to find, but are typically around 40 to 55p a pair. The cheapest option we found from a big high street chain supermarket or pharmacy was:
