That said, here we're sharing a round-up of the restaurants and bars tipped to open in the city this year. Some have firm opening dates while others are in their fledgling stages, some are in the city centre and others are a little further outside. There will also be fried wings and loaded nachos. Here's what's to come: 1) The Mayan - Coming July 2023 Whether you want to get out into the parks & countryside, get involved in some sport, get a taste of our incredible food & drink offering or simply unwind with a relaxing spa break there are loads of fun activities in Birmingham. Yes, we’ll do tastings and classes like we do in Worcester, but coming here won’t be like going out on a Tuesday and being lectured to.

Indian street food and craft beer bar Bundobust is set to open on Bennetts Hill this summer. They're currently collaborating with businesses across the city to showcase their food ahead of the launch.
The Botanist has locations across the country and they are known for serving drinks in unusual vessels, such as flower pots. They’re not the easiest things to drink out of but they’re pretty tasty! Currently, they are serving Birds of Prey-themed drinks, in anticipation for the release of the film. You can enjoy it all in vintage style surroundings. Situated at the top of The Cube and affording stunning views across the Birmingham canal-side vista, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill offers fine dining at its best. Expect cakes, all day brunch and afternoon tea as well as drinks like the Turkish delight hot chocolate, ruby latte and Chemex strawberry mojitos. Take photos of them against the pretty flower walls! 12) Ribeye Steakhouse - June 5, 2023There are plenty of eateries to choose from when in the beautiful canal area, including one of our favourite Italian restaurants in the Mailbox Birmingham. It all depends on what you feel like. Here are a couple of our local favourites we suggest you try. Further out of Brum but still close enough (and exciting enough) to warrant the drive is Fraiche, the Michelin Star restaurant that is leaving the Wirral for the Shropshire countryside. They come from aged vines on the best aspects on the best hills which all help to concentrate the fruit. The early images look great, with rich red and gold fabrics and bold Indo-Persian prints. There'll be a fine dining restaurant and a bar at the hotel, with afternoon tea a planned specialty. 4) The Barrel Store - May 13, 2023
