Now that the monkey can move, Mr Pipkin and Johnny think very hard for a name, they even ask Tortoise for help. What can they call the newcomer?..... The card game Snap is great fun, unless you play it with Hartley.He has become a snap bore and get's close to cheating.... One memorable episode featured a fishing holiday, where the characters Hartley Hare, Pig, Topov, and Mrs Penguin embarked on a fun adventure. During their holiday, they explored the countryside and learned valuable life lessons while attempting to catch fish. Tomorrow is Mr Pipkin’s birthday and as he’s gone fishing, Fred sneaks into the workshop to make a birthday cake as a surprise. But nobody’s more surprised than Fred when the cake comes out of the oven…

Mrs P, the new Penguin housekeeper feels she should not be asked to sleep in the kitchen sink. So Johnny gets a new kitchen sink unit and puts it out in the yard. Topov has seen a lot of giants in picture books. But he is sad because he never meets them in real life. But then Tortoise has an idea... Mr Pipkin is making an Ostrich. But Hartley doesn’t like other puppets and interferes by showing pictures of his uncle….. Pipkins, originally known as Inigo Pipkin, was a popular British children’s TV programme that first aired on ITV from January 1973 until December 1981. The show was produced by ATV and initially centred around puppet maker Inigo Pipkin and his puppet workshop. After the passing of the actor who portrayed Pipkin, the series shifted focus, transforming the main characters into the “Help People”, a group dedicated to assisting anyone in need.Angus McHare, Hartley’s Scottish cousin, is coming to tea and wants to meet Uncle Hare. How are they going to fetch Uncle from the hollow in time? Johnny goes on his bike but arrives too late. Guess who get’s there first? Hartley is rather good at music, and Pig has a way with words. Why don’t they get together and produce something really worthwhile, like their own song? Some people are better at some things than others. But nobody is best at everything. Hartley discovers there are people who can actually do things that he can't.... Hartley is a poet, so the whole world has to know it-and he soon becomes very boring.................

Johnny, Hartley, Tortoise, Topov and co start up in business as “Pipkins”, the help people. Hartley answers the phone in the office, while Pig and Topov go ouut in the van to help people…. Topov is unhappy. He thinks there are better places to live than Pipkins and that everyone else is better off........... The circus moves from town to town but it may not come to yours. If it doesn't, you can always be like Pipkins and make your own. Hartley prepares a Queen's pudding and invites then Queen to share it with him. But will she come. Johnny and Pig are determined that Hartley won't be disappointed.................. and the infamous “ODD MAN OUT” episode, where a series of straightforward parlour games were invariably ruined by Hartley’s Freudian obsession with a fish-slice.

Hartley has become too bossy. He won’t even let the others speak for themselves-he always knows best. So Pig and Topov find a way to make him look really silly… Hartley, Topov and Tortoise rehearse while Mr Pipkin and Johnny get the theatre ready for a play which they are to perform for a group of children.
