About this deal

Thank you for visiting Story Snug John and congratulations on the publication of The Wondrous Dinosaurium. What or who inspired you to become a writer? Dinosaurium se vydává za dinosaury! The Isle of Dread je jeden z prvních modulů pro D&D, který vypustil hráče z jeskyně a nabídl dobrodružství pod širým nebem.

It really intrigues us to know where authors like to work. Where do you most like to write? Do you need peace and quiet or are you able to work in noisier environments?

Ha, I’ve actually never thought about it. It would be one of the more docile ones for sure. Perhaps Argentinosaurus. I’d love to see what the biggest dinosaur ever (that we know of) looked like in reality.

If you've ever watched a young boy play with his dinosaurs, you know that they absolutely love the critters and really "get" the ferocious nature of the beasts. This book will fascinate the young child simply for the pictures alone. The older age 8 to 12 child - male or female - will find the information clearly worth delving into. As a reference tool, this book will provide material that will surely lend credence to the child's presentation. As a book to peruse and absorb, it will provide hours of enthrallment and obsession. Dinosaurs were also a spectacular failure. They were totally and almost suddenly wiped out from the earth about 65 million years ago, towards the end of the Mesozoic era. A number of reasons like change of vegetation, advent of small mammals etc. were given as causes for their extinction. The most plausible reason, appears to be that of cosmic impact as evidenced by a thin sediment layer with enrichment of Iridium of the end of the Cretoceous.

Stor og lækker bog er udarbejdet, så indholdet ligner gamle anskuelsestavler. Og bedst af alt, handler den om dinosaurer, som til stadighed fascinerer store som små." – Litteratursiden It’s actually very difficult to pin down the source of a specific idea, as many of them are amalgamations of several thoughts and ideas generated over a period of months, or even years. This story was certainly a combination of ideas. I do remember one influence being the removal of ‘Dippy’ (the plaster cast Diplodocus) from the entrance hall of the Natural History Museum. I wanted to write a story that might encourage children to visit that museum and Dippy was definitely a catalyst for that process. Vidste du, at over halvdelen af alle kendte dinosaurer er først blevet opdaget i løbet af de sidste 30 år! Og vidste du, at alle fugle stammer fra dinosaurer! Og – ej, vi kunne blive ved ... dinosaurer er vildt fascinerende! A fossil-filled, family-friendly exhibition is arriving at the Allen Gallery in Alton this summer. The gallery, which is operated by Hampshire Cultural Trust, plays host to Dinosaurium: Re-imagined Creatures from 7 August to 19 September. Having previously reviewed "Welcome to the Museum" books, I was again simply fascinated and thoroughly impressed with the presentation, information, and art of the beautiful oversized book. In Dinosaurium: Welcome to the Museum, we have a pretty clear presentation of evolutionary theory as being an accepted theory and there is a glorious depiction of the dinosaurs as theorized from research authorities and paleontologists in this area of study of fossilized bones. We all realize that the evidence supports the existence of dinosaurs and other creatures, but there is some disagreement as to the timeline. I disagree and hold to the Creation concept. I still think, however, that this is a fascinating book and those who hold to either origin of creatures will discover much to interest them. Can you tell us more about what your role involves once your book has been published. Will you be promoting your book in schools or at other events?

A writing shed sounds great to me too although I would probably get distractedif it contained an overflowing bookcase!! The sauropod dinosaurs – Barapasaurus fagorei and Kotasaurus Yamanpollieneis from the Lower Jurassic Kota Formation (about 160 million years old) are the earliest known species. Although earlier sauropods have been found in Zimbabwe and China, great interest is attached to the Indian, dinossaurs which had already attained gigantic sizes.
