They touch upon many important issues in ways that are easy to understand and are relatable. Great insight - especially for young women. Participating in Selena Gomez's documentary, My Mind and Me, was a great opportunity to be a part of something important. My Mind and Me helped people realize their own fragility and strength. Through the vulnerability shown in the documentary, as well as in our book, I hope people realize being vulnerable is being strong. In The Sunshine Mind, Raquelle outlines the importance of having a “strong inner life” that comes from “knowing who you are.” Stevens finds this mindset key whenever she comes across negative comments about herself online. I personally feel like i'm talking to the author, like having a women's bible study in my own home. They share personal experiences share a scripture that fits with that days challenge and outline how you can put things into line to achieve what makes you happy in your life.

Rad and Stevens did an excellent job with the writing. My only complaint about this book is the quality. While the cover is lovely and eye catching, including the fact that this is a Christian book would be helpful to the reader. As an adult women, I find joy in the details. The paper used for this book is thin and feels rough. For a book of this type, I would expect a nicer quality, glossy finish paper. I often reread books of this type or gift them to friends who might benefit. This book doesn't feel like it would last the test of time, nor is it giftable from a physical quality standpoint. Real, honest, and shared from personal experience, Tanya Rad and Raquelle Stevens wrote The Sunshine Mind with the modern woman in mind. Each of the 100 devotions offers faith, hope, strength, and peace to encourage and inspire you to become the beautiful person God made you to be.This may look like many things, such as: choosing to forgive instead of retaliating, taking disappointments as lessons learned, and finding hope even during hard days. Facing challenges is part of the human experience, but we believe that when we prioritize and strengthen our inner life, we can develop this more positive state of mind. This is so important because I think how we show up to our relationships and the kind of love we are giving and receiving has one of the largest impacts on feeling a sense of love and belonging in life. Similarly, when I chose to give in to negative self-talk, it caused me to be a more subdued version of myself instead of owning my worth. When I didn't speak my truth or ask for what I truly needed, it came out in resentment or disappointment. V. Do we let negativity be our default too much and not put out enough energy into spreading positivity.
