Only sometimes the camera starts correctly when I start the vehicle (without having to turn on and off the engine 2\3 times) Yeah a proper camera have 2 levels of G sensor, one for driving ( if you want to use that ) and then one for parking, which you probably do want to use if you dont use always record low bitrate, cuz then the camera record all the time, and so missing a trigger you will still get everything.

You can also try and disconnect the rear camera, if one of those are not properly connected or maybe the wire is bad / broken it can also cause problems, if you do that and the cfront camera then work properly that might be the problem. Ultra HD Dash Cam with Built-in Wireless LAN with Smart Parking Mode - Optional Rear View Dash Cam VW Part No: ZGB 000 052 620 (KCA-R200) I have the same configuration as you except that I have a continuous power supply with 11.6V cut, but I have just returned the KENWOOD DRV-A601W main unit and bought another one. You can see bitrate as sort of a multiplier factor for image quality and detail, so if a lot happen in the video you want to have a high bitrate, but say you just film a sidewalk where your car is parked, well then you can make do with a much lower bitrate.

The memory card should have no broken sectors ASO, and depending on the speed of your card reader you might also be able to see if the card have the promised read / write speeds.

The problem with low bitrate however is that is is okay for a fairly static picture, so say you are parked curbside, and someone tear your mirror off at speed, as it is using low bitrate parking mode you might not get a good plate capture ( 2 X important in the US as you guys often just have 1 plate VS us EU boys that must have 2 plates and much larger easy to read plates ) Plugged into a Garmin mini USB cable, it's nice messing around with it in the comfort of the porch. If G - sensor are only on while parked ( no need to have it on while driving but some cameras only have one option that go for both parked and while driving )You can change the resolution from the camera’s menu, along with a set of other options. You might want to consider switching to a lower resolution to save space on your card, but with the supplied 64GB card you should get plenty of footage even in 4K, unless you’re planning on an extremely long non-stop journey. If you want to record with both the front and rear camera at the same time, you’ll have to shoot in a lower resolution - so that’s worth noting. If you have the hardware kit CA-DR1030, you can switch on “Parking Mode”. In this mode, the camera should detect any impacts “above the normal level” and start automatically recording any incidents, even when away from the car. The "flaw" is in that there's some intentional misleading going on, but it's a common practice People buying a 2-channel cam have no reason to unplug the rear cam to get better performance with the front cam. If they wanted a single-channel cam they would have bought one. They have every reason to expect any full performance levels being listed in the main advertising. DRV-A700W/ DRV-A601W/ DRV-A501W include a Polarizer Filter. This reduces such things as dashboard reflection on the windscreen, which may appear in certain positions or due to weather conditions, and helps to lessen glare on sunny days, making it possible to record clear outside images. I have some trouble when I start the engine. The dashcam correctly turns on and starts recording automatically, but after 30/60 seconds the device goes into a sort of sleep mode (the blue led indicator stays on steady) even if I'm driving. So the display turns off and there is no way to activate again the dashcam. The only way to start correctly the cam is to turn off the vehicle and turn on again.

Some cameras have a flashing LED to indicate recording but others will have a LED with a steady light when recording and flashing when not recording.

The built-in 3-axis G Sensor with adjustable sensitivity detects an outside force, forcing the device to save what has just been recorded. In addition, the GPS Receiver allows your videos to add location and speed data. So since then ( 2012 ) i have not used the G-sensor in ant camera at all, but mainly cuz i have never used parking mode either as i have CCTV from my apartment covering my car where it is parked. Edit: Angle of mirror on left side takes room and more visually obtrusive-going with the right side.)

Colors are well represented, while exposures are well balanced and glare is kept to a minimum. In very bright conditions you might see some sun spots - particularly from the rear view camera, but otherwise, the image quality is fantastic. It has two power inputs: one on the side of the separate magnetic mount, which also contains the GPS module, and one on the top, which also handles data transfer (one way, from camera to computer) I love the kit because all references from Rusia was that the system was reliable and stable and because the form factor it is super compact and you can not see the cameras from outside... but it seems that the quality is mediocre if you plug the rear camera and it is not reliable at all... I will have to switch to VIOFO A129 or better VIOFO A139 because the car next to me kit me the door and it was not recording (g-sensor fault) and I can not see through the cameras the doors windows. I think in most cameras you can always long press some button to have the camera power down and not go into parking mode, say if you park at home in your garage. Detail is very well represented even when shooting at less than 4K. It is perfectly possible to read number plates and so on at the 2560k setting if you’re using the rear and front camera in combination, but it would make sense to switch to 4K for the best detail if you only have the front-facing camera. As a result, the company pushes the optional hard-wiring kit that plugs into the vehicle’s main power supply and allows the camera to run even when the engine is off. It’s sufficiently clever to not drain the battery, but it will record 30 seconds of footage if the built-in 3-axis G Sensor recognizes a collision or impact. Anyone who has some experience with car maintenance should be able to fit the kit in around 30 minutes, but it could be worth seeking out an auto electrician if need be. By connecting the optional rear camera ( KCA-R100) it is possible to record front and rear directions simultaneously, both in Full HD quality. Yeah G-sensor are of use for parking mode, though also not ideal / flawless it is much better than motion detect that in most cases are way too sensitive.
