When life feels overwhelmingly negative, it is easy to lose sight of how important happiness is. Most of the time people aren’t even aware, that they are the root of their own unhappiness. By fostering a positive attitude in their classroom, teachers can play a huge role in their students’ lives. Watch the difference in students when they take the simple step of just starting to believe in themselves. Introduce some Thoughts of the Day into your classroom environment, ask the students to debate its meaning, and how it could impact their lives. Sometimes you are all the example your students need. Don’t be afraid to share a personal goal with your students and stay positive in sharing your journey with them. Show them how optimism can create an environment for happiness and how positivism directly influences the success rate, of any set goal you may have. Building this type of everyday environment in the classroom can be helped by introducing thoughts of the day for students at the start of every day. They can help not alone improve students outlook about themselves, but also their perceptions of their classmates.

Start the day with a positive affirmation:Before we begin our day, take a moment to reflect on something positive. It could be one of the previous positive quotes that inspires us, or simply a positive affirmation, such as“I choose to focus on the good in every situation” An educator should take as many opportunities as possible to reinforce his or her students’ self-esteem, in the classroom and throughout the school. Happy students are productive students. They tend to learn at a more accelerated rate and are motivated to help others to learn. Thoughts of the day and the school assembly

I pray that I may try to do God’s will. I pray that such understanding, insight, and vision shall be mine as shall make my life eternal, here and now. Obviously, we are not saying that it is possible to be happy all of the time. But many people manage to live in an overall state of happiness. But how do we achieve this? The LBB also uses Biblical allusions more frequently and more directly. The Apostle Paul is mentioned by name on a couple of occasions and direct reference is made to the parables of the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son. Sometimes scriptures are cited directly and placed within quotation marks, but the source is left unidentified. Most of the time, however, the LBB follows the BB precedent of using scripture without quotes or any kind of attribution. An in all cases passages are used to make a practical spiritual point rather than a doctrinal or a theological one. Before Alcoholics Anonymous World Services published " Daily Reflections: A Book of Reflections by A.A. Members for A.A. Members," many AA members read the Twenty-Four Hours a Day book. The author originally self-published it for the people in AA that he sponsored. He offered it to AA but they rejected it. I am guessing it was because of the somewhat religious nature of the book. AA was moving away from an overt religious dialogue, trying to become generally spiritual so as to be of service to the most people. But if you are looking for a more God-centered narrative then the Twenty-Four Hours a Day book is for you. Don’t keep your dreams in your eyes, they may fall as tears. Keep them in your heart so that every heartbeat may remind you to convert them into reality. Nishan Panway Thoughts About Taking Control

Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love. Lao Tzu You have to chase your dreams, no matter what. The impossible just takes a little longer. One stroke at a time, one step at a time, the impossible is easy to achieve. Tori Murden The three sections generally form a thematic whole. The first introduces a theme and concludes with a question which refocuses the reader’s attention on a main idea within that theme (sometimes the entire passage may be a series of questions). The second moves one or more ideas in the theme to the level of sustained meditation. The third prays that an ideal or aspiration contained in the thought or meditation may become a practical reality in one's own person and life. Let us try to teach generosity and altruism, because we are born selfish. Let us understand what our own selfish genes are up to, because we may then at least have the chance to upset their designs, something that no other species has ever aspired to do. Richard Dawkins Kind Thoughts for the Day

This is a God-centered daily reader for members of Alcoholics Anonymous or any 12 Step program that is willing to substitute the words "alcohol" and "alcoholism" with the disease of their choice.

Simply because you know it is their best interest. As your students follow this path, they will grow in self-belief developing positive thoughts and actions. Don’t bend; don’t water it down; don’t try to make it logical; don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly. Franz Kafka The time children spend in education and their teachers have a huge and lasting impact on them. A teacher’s role is not only to impart the knowledge of academic skills but fostering a student’s confidence and self-esteem is equally as important.

We all face challenges in life, but it’s how we choose to approach them that makes all the difference. When we choose to focus on the positive, we are more likely to find solutions and overcome obstacles. The Benefits of Positive Thinking The following inspiring thoughts can both challenge and reinforce what we already believe, and provide us new insights for personal development.

As you highlight the negative aspects of the classroom environment to your students, ensure that you focus on replacing the negatives with positives. This process has to be relentless. All negatives need to be rejected in favor of a positive. This could be considered as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Accordingly, we want to try and have the right types of thoughts in our mind to ensure a healthy psyche. By reading positive quotes and ideas, we start to adopt a more positive mindset. Truth can be a confusing topic. Fortunately, it’s one that has been explored for thousands of years, often by people with a lot more time on their hands than you and I. Before a school can become a positive influence on its students, it needs to do the same for its teachers. If you are in charge of the students, try and create an environment where teachers arrive early and meet before the school assembles.Students who do not believe in themselves need to have someone who believes in them, someone who accepts them for who they are and is encouraging them to change their destructive behavior.
