About this deal

February 07, 2013: Twyla is officially announced by Mattel's pre- American International Toy Fair press release. However, Twyla's shyness does not mean she is unable to appreciate positive attention or enjoy a good laugh. It simply means her standards for feeling comfortable are higher than the average person's. Twyla is very comfortable in her own skin and embraces her freaky flaws, as well as everyone else's. At times, this means she's one of the few who can judge a situation level-headed. At others, this just leaves her feeling estranged from her fellow students. Twyla's father is the Boogey Man. Little is known about their relationship other than it's similar to a regular father-daughter relationship; however, it is implied that she does have a strained relationship with him, as she is very displeased by his nightmare-inducing traditions and therefore settles to undo them. It is unknown how her father feels about it or if he even knows. Twyla looks quite different than pictured. In person, my overall impression of Twyla is that she is less cutesy and has more of an intense/forlorn presentation that is appropriate for a monster like her: The Daughter of the Boogey Man. Twyla is all moonlight and shadows - her main colorways are a waxy mint green and her favorite color burple (which according to her is blue mixed with purple). Twyla's skin is a very light purple which gradually changes to smoky gray on her forearms and hands. She has silvery smoke patterns that start at her ankles and reach up her calves. Twyla has purply-pink eyes, frosty pink lips and cute little dimples at the edge of her mouth. I love her bright mint green eyebrows and her long soft minty green hair with burple streaks. As others have mentioned, a fun thing about Twyla is that the whites of her eyes glow in the dark! (I thought her hair might glow as well, but sadly, no.)

Pose Twyla™ doll like the mon-star she is! Flexiblity at the torso, elbows, wrists and knees makes for enhanced fashion play and storytelling. Fair and down-to-earth, Twyla is almost always about serious talking but is also very sarcastic and is the one in the group to be most likely to drop dry of dark humor since she too is playful, in a strange stoic way.

Twyla is voiced in English by Jonquil Goode. In Freaky Fusion, she was credited under the name Joni Goode. As a boogeyman, Twyla owns all the abilities of her fellow boogie monsters, mostly related to shadows.

Late June, 2014: Twyla's New Scaremester doll reveals her last name to be "Boogeyman". This was later confirmed to be her last name by Garrett Sander during a MHMonday. Twyla has light purple-blue skin with grey hands and lower arms. Grey-colored patterns, invoking shadows, swirl up from her ankles to the middle of her lower legs. Her long hair is pastel green with blue and purple stripes which reaches her hips, and her eyes are purple-pink yet glow green in the dark.I gave this doll 5 stars in "Educational" because this line of dolls really teaches you that it's okay to stand out and be different, or as the Monster High motto says, "Be yourself, be unique, be a monster." The only confusing thing was that on the box, it says a different age than her diary does. I think it's just a typo, though. Now, for the skeptics who might question the necessity of a Monster High Doll, let me assure you – Twyla is not just a doll; she's an icon. A beacon of self-expression and spooky-chic fashion. She's a reminder that being different is not just okay; it's downright fabulous. However, Twyla has worked hard to make her own friendships and has become quite tight with some of the students at Monster High, like Invisi Billy, who shares her interests and power to turn invisible, being co-founders of the Disappearing Club, or Catty Noir, who is also part of said club. She also has a sweet friendship with Rochelle Goyle who she really likes. In her 13 Wishes diary, Twyla refers to herself as "bad" and "terrible". It's unclear what brought her to this conclusion, as they don't appear to be solely caused by immediate events. Despite being shy, she can sometimes be friendly if she wants to be, such as towards Howleen, or greeting Cleo and being kind to her when believing her to be a new girl. 13 Wishes Appearance [ ] This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items. Unlike her Dad, Twyla captures the nightmares to eat so that only the good sweet dreams get through to the 'normies'. She can become invisible and prefers to sit in the shadows which can also help her move from location to location. She is very shy but is friends with Howleen Wolf, Gigi Grant and Spectra Vondergeist.

But here's where the real magic happens – the sleepover theme. This set is not just a doll and her bunny; it's an invitation to a party of monstrously epic proportions. Twyla knows how to throw a creepover that would make even the boogeyman jealous. It's like a slumber party where the guest list includes werewolves, vampires, and probably a friendly ghost or two. And the clothes – oh, the clothes! Twyla's sleepover ensemble is more stylish than a ghost at a masquerade ball. The attention to detail in her pajamas is hauntingly delightful, and the accessories are like the finishing touches on a bewitching masterpiece. From the eyemask that screams "Do not disturb, I'm dreaming of fashionable mayhem" to the slippers that are basically footwear royalty in the monster realm. Clothes: She wears a seafoam colored dress with a cobweb print, and accented with light purple bits of tulle on the collar and skirt. Her shoes are cast in translucent aqua-green and feature bed-shaped heels. Doll: This Twyla has slightly translucent skin, having become a ghost. Her hair is styled in long waves and is mostly seafoam green, with a few light purple streaks in the front. She has a ghostly "mask" over her face done in teal, and her lips are a bright coral. However, she is extremely selfless and kind, to the point where one of her regular days involves undoing her father's doings of giving sleeping children nightmares by feeding on the negative energy projected by these, removing the nightmares from their dreams. Twyla will do this to children in most need to top it off, such as kids in foster homes.Every ghoul’s night needs some freaktacular friends! Explore the Monster High™ Creepover Party™ collection for added fun with the whole spooky squad. Shadow Blending: Twyla can morph within the shadows, invisible to everyone. She can also teleport within the shadows, though it requires at least two different shadows, fading through one & reappearing through another. She has light purple skin and has a light gray pattern coming up from her hands and feet. She is also the size of Howleen Wolf.
