About this deal

Do you know how bad the writing has to be, for like me to notice? Me, a middle eastern, non-native English speaker? Sooo many typos! At first, I thought maybe this is just too advanced for my broke English bc I wasn’t understanding anything, but then I realized no one is understanding.

Now for the bad bits, unfortunately for me there were many. A completely illogical and implausible plotline that had huge gaping holes along with a heavy handed and repetitive writing style made this one of the least enjoyable books I've consumed in quite a while. How an author describes the sweat on a characters brow three times within about 30 seconds is beyond me! This book is a five-star read which I cannot recommend highly enough. No doubt, The Interview is my book of the month for February – (I don’t normally give that away before posting my wrap up article – but this book is brilliant!) Gayle has covered almost 150 questions on software programming generally covered by the interviewers and tried to guide how one should draft the ideal solution. This is my first book by C.M. Ewan and I can't wait for more. He might just be my new favourite thriller author. The early interactions between Joel and Kate, where the pair are taking turns assessing each other’s responses and analysing their body language were really absorbing, and these sorts of forays into the psychological-thriller genre are where The Interview really shines, in our opinion. But still, I would say if the writing doesn't bother you, and you have enough time to read absolutely anything and want something just for the spice and the 'protective/possessive' male character, then sure, go for it.

Kate is called to an interview for a PR position at Edge Communication late on a Friday afternoon. This position will provide her with the challenge she needs and is guaranteed to keep her busy, which is exactly what Kate needs. Targeting the interview process from the interviewer’s point, the author has attempted to generate positive results by identifying the qualitative factors required for the step-by-step approach of an interview. I think the author’s observation of the information coding and decoding (interpreting information shared in the resume and shared by the interviewee) is wonderful and well researched and observed. It will help many interviewers frame the interview process and get the most out of it. Key Takeaways Her husband was killed in the MarshJet air disaster some fifteen months ago and coming to terms with his death and trying to rebuild her life has been difficult. Recently she's been working at Simple PR in a job that was almost created for her by the owners, Simon and Rebecca. She feels guilty about looking for another job but she needs to do something which will challenge her - and she's not getting that at Simple PR. First, this book can be noteworthy because it is quite simple and provides detailed coverage of interview-related topics, including right before interview preparations and what to do and not to do when appearing at the interview destination. Taking basics, the author will get you into the selection procedure’s imaginary world where you can start judging what you have to do and how an ideal interview can go. However, the result is a boost to your confidence and an edge to your negotiating skills regarding your salary from the last job! Analyze yourself and, at certain times, you might become speechless when the author starts pointing out the pitfalls, as he noticed in many interview stories that happened in the real world. Key Takeaways Slowly, you’ll be drawn into the tragic story of Kate’s life before the interview, and start to see some reasons why she’s here, but you’ll be pulled a long way into the novel before the picture becomes clear. Along the way there’s all sorts of ultra-tense action as Kate tries everything from fighting and smashing her way out to swinging from a rope in the elevator shaft. It has a breathless, claustrophobic air to it, you can feel the blows Joel rains upon her, suffering her injuries with her, and there are times you’ll think her heart is going to stop, and yours with it.So yes, Kate is a good character, so is Joel for that matter, and I had conflicting thoughts about him throughout the story. Her brother and his storyline was good too - a nice little side distraction from the tension of the the interview. The game I want to play is let's unravel Mimi. It's a bit like pass the parcel but with only one player. Me. I get to unwrap each of her layers as I unravel her mind with my filth." Edit, [spoiler]: I'm sorry, I just remembered when he spanked her with a spatula and I'm dying out of laughter. WTF WAS THAT BRUH? Who in their right mind wakes up one day and decides to use a spatula to spank someone with? I can't even type, I have literal tears in my eyes. Miss Donna, what was the reason for this horrifying scene?
