To use the YU6 in a multi-channel setup, you need to make sure your AV receiver's preamp outs, or just use a dedicated preamp/processor (preferred). Note that you'll be connecting the left and right channels to one YU6 and using speaker cable to extended the signal to the to the other speaker. This is true for the rear channels as well, should you choose to connect another YU6 pair. The Edifier R1280T is the perfect size for bookshelf speakers. Each unit measures 5.7 x 9.5 x 7 inches and can fit onto most desks/shelves. Under the hood, you’ll find a 13mm silk tweeter, a 4-inch woofer, and a calibrated, flared bass reflex port. The frequency response is 55Hz to 20kHz, so there’s plenty of room to rumble in those deep lows while maintaining a balanced sound signature. Is it professional studio quality? Yes, the reproduction is very accurate. Will it be good for video games and movies? Again, thanks to the 85dBA, there is plenty of power to go around, whether that means hearing enemy footsteps behind you or getting that immersive movie experience. So, we’ve looked at the specifications of the YU6 speakers as well as the core features, but how do they actually perform? Is it the most critical or accurate loudspeaker on the market today? Vocals are carried with their full weight and power and the supporting piano feels equally well judged in terms of scale. They offer a well-balanced sound and regardless of what genre of music we put through these speakers, the output was great.
