About this deal

In addition, a couple of teenagers try to convince the local authorities of what’s going on, but to no avail. We get on-camera interviews with stars Grant Cramer and Suzanne Snyder, as well as a short, 8 minute tour of the Chiodo Brothers' models and creations. These clowns don't just lurk around dark corners stabbing people with knives, they twist balloon animals into living creatures that can attack, they cocoon victims in cotton candy and suck their blood through crazy straws.

Though it is a mix of newer and older features there is a real obvious love that has gone into this release.

While sound quality is perfectly fine with some decent range and fidelity I can’t say the mix is all that imaginative. That only represents half the film's lifespan, so I'd imagine there's no shortage of enthusiastic fans who caught Killer Klowns in theaters, on VHS, or on cable when it was even younger. We will introduce you exclusively to Newpay finance products provided by NewDay Limited under this Introducer Appointed Representative arrangement. For what it's worth, this DTS-HD Master Audio stereo soundtrack does a nice job in generating a wide image, particularly when it comes to John Massari's musical score.

Most impressively the film doesn’t show much damage, most of the “flaws” seeming to be related to some optical effects. Arrow Video’s new Special Edition Blu-ray release trumps its previous one and is definitely the one to own for just such an occasion. Killer Klowns From Outer Space wasn't exactly a sleeper hit in the horror community, so we were chomping at the bit for a special edition in the early days of DVD. Since then, two Blu-rays have been released -- one from MGM with crappy cover art, and a better Region B disc from Arrow -- but the latter company has now brought Killer Klowns back to Region A with this new Special Edition Blu-ray. As a sci-fi/horror movie, Killer Klowns from Outer Space is so dependent on replaying established genre cliches that there’s no room for creativity or surprises – the story and character just exist to get us from one klown-themed gag to the next.Upon investigating the man comes face to face with an ugly group of aliens who look suspiciously like clowns, though they’re more the Pennywise variety than Bozo or Ronald McDonald. A local hillbilly type also witnesses this event and heads over to take a look with his trusty bloodhound only to find a giant circus tent has seemingly popped up out of nowhere. Just in time for Halloween, Metro Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Fox Home Entertainment re-release 13 cult classic horror films on Blu-ray and DVD September 9.

While they obviously talk about the song in regards of influences and how it has helped grow their fanbase (though I get the feeling their original fans aren’t fond of the song) they also talk about how they were also hired to record the incidental score for the film, but it was dropped because the producer found it too comedic. Also nice is the fact all six films are presented in high-definition and, despite some source issues, they all look rather spectaculat! Cliché-ridden and hysterical absurd, the film comes with a very dark, twisted sense of humor that's bizarrely lighthearted and animated. Not too surprising was that they still had a limited budget so they had to find many workarounds regarding effects to get the film to reflect their vision as closely as possible. No one specific drive-in feature serves as inspiration, but rather, it comes from the collective memories of those films and captures the spirit of the era while forging into slapstick excess.Yet, the overall picture doesn't show a great deal of sharp definition, looking fairly soft for a majority of the time. It also didn’t hurt to have a kick-ass theme song written by the band The Dickies either, which probably brought more fans into the fold than many might realize. and rises several stories, with an almost insane labyrinth of nooks and crannies containing an almost overwhelming selection of books. The puns and one-liners simply aren’t funny enough to carry the glacial set-ups and every moment away from the klowns becomes a feat of endurance.

But it film is supported just as much by its colorful production design (also by the Chiodos), iconic theme song by The Dickies and cult actor John Vernon expertly playing his role to the hilt.Productions; a set of Killer Interviews ( Tales of Tobacco, an interview with actor Grant Cramer; Debbie’s Big Night, an interview with actor Suzanne Snyder; The Making of Killer Klowns featurette; Visual Effects with Gene Warren Jr. of those old Judy Garland — Mickey Rooney vehicles where the kids realize they have a vacant barn, so why not put on a show. Combining silly dialogue, costumes, props, special effects, nods to other movies, and the overall notion itself, it’s also a fun popcorn movie. option isn't too much of a stretch: there are a handful of nice panning effects, while John Massari's original score (and other music cues, including The Dickies' theme song) venture into the rear channels as well. Featuring the brothers Charles, Stephen, and Edward, the three go over the genesis of the project, from initial idea, to getting funding, to casting, then filming and releasing.
