About this deal

The recipes aren't stereotypical 'kids menu' style - the overriding theme in here is your kids don't need to eat bland food - and focus on exposure and enjoyment of all different kinds of food. Please Note: By their very nature, all signed books will have been handled several times before they get to you. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health professional regarding any medical condition. The 'basics' section at the beginning of the book provides you with so much up to date and straightforward information, it gives you the confidence to start weaning.

Hearst UK is the trading name of the National Magazine Company Ltd, 30 Panton Street, Leicester Square, London, SW1Y 4AJ. It is accepted by you that Daunt Books has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance.Wean your baby with help from record-breaking cookbook author and proud dad Joe Wicks, the nation's favourite PE teacher. He also knows the weaning process can be a daunting one but this book is there to give you a step-by-step guide to help you wean with confidence. Loads of recipes too - some more fussy and time consuming than others but the summaries at the top look handy as there will be times when “longer meal” is one to skip when you’re time poor. In fact, there’s a more accurate, positive, and holistic way of thinking about what weaning really means. She advised Joe and his wife Rosie introduce green and savoury vegetables within the first two weeks of weaning, for example.

But you can give her the best possible chance by exposing her to non-sweet vegetable flavors right from the start. Whichever style of weaning you decide to go for is your choice, and remember: all children eventually do learn to eat with a knife and fork. The book which guides parents through the progression from milk feeding to solid food (from six months to 12month+) has Joe’s two-year-old daughter Indie on the cover (if you’re a fan of his YouTube classes you’ll already recognise the tot from her cameos in his workouts) and was inspired by his experiences weaning her and her little brother Marley, five months. But for me, this isn't a good book for parents looking for an easy weaning book to follow and help guide them. Despite your best efforts, there’s no guarantee that your baby will grow up to be a carrot-crunching, spinach-munching vegetable lover. Can your baby coordinate their eyes, hands and mouth - can they look at, intentionally pick up and pop food/toys in their mouth themselves? This book made me feel so confident about weaning my baby onto solids and there are so many reviews for different ages and covers breakfast, snacks and other meals too which includes family meals for when your little ones older!

It is a case of having a bit of confidence, and understanding what you can or can’t give your child. All the reliable information you need to wean your baby from first foods to enjoying family mealtimes. That being said, there are some general guidelines to follow, and there is a loose timeline to keep in mind. I found it very easy to follow the recipes and liked the way in which it told you how many portions it should make.By now it should be clear that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to weaning, and that different babies have different needs.
