About this deal

Despite his poor mental health, Tracini has had a stable professional life – he has rarely been without work. But through this book, Joe is also an incredible advocate for those struggling with addiction and/or their mental health. But if his book makes you think: "thank fuck it’s not just me" and that makes you feel a little better, then it’s a job well done. I have been aware of Joe Tracini for some time, as I was a huge fan of Joe Pasquale growing up, and so saw Tracini involved with some of Pasquales entertainment shoes. Hi, hope you're OK," he said, addressing the camera, before the screen splits and an alternate version of himself chips in.

It is clear that as much as Joe delights most of us, he very rarely feels that way about himself, due to his diagnosis of BPD and his constant war with a mental health condition that is trying to kill him by getting him to kill himself. Talking about the bad things you've done, mental illnesses you may have and your lowest points is possibly the most difficult thing for anyone to do. The thing that I think I liked most (if that’s that right word to use) is making people see that just because you’ve been fixed once, it’s okay to break against, it’s not a once fixed always fixed kind of illness. Joe doesn’t tell you how to fix your problems in his book, but he does tell you something arguably even more important: that all is not lost even when your problems seem insurmountable. c!dal thoughts on a daily basis as opposed to the less nuanced, more reactionary portrayal and understanding of su!If you have your ears to the ground with regard to the BPD community it would have been almost impossible to miss the news that Joe Tracini (an English actor, presenter and author) has launched a new book about his life and indeed living with BPD.

But he does make it obvious they were more likely to take a pair of shears to pernicious weeds in the garden rather than dig them up by the roots. Incredibly, he emerges from the darkness with a timeless tale of love, hope and redemption that will be of immeasurable help to people facing the most destructive demons and, crucially, everyone who loves them. Toda noite ficava animada pra ler mais do livro e descobrir o que mais eu e o Joe tínhamos em comum. Joes story is far from pretty and very heartbreaking at times and the reason behind him writing this book is one of pure honestly. We pay respect to the Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. Having somebody put their arm around you and proselytize is something you find all too much in books, but having someone pat your arm and say 'yeah, I get that' with real empathy in their voice is very rare, and this felt like walking in the park with somebody who wasn't judging me. This book made me understand i wasn’t crazy by hearing a « voice » in my head who literally hates me. He will struggle with BPD all his life but he is much better than he was when all this started for him.
