Description

One of the world’s fastest growing plants, bamboo can grow up to a metre in height in just 24 hours – making it extremely renewable.

With Bluetooth connectivity, its anti-skate mechanism, adjustable counter-balance and a built-in pre-amp, the Stir It Up Lux Turntable brings epic sound and sustainability together. The instructions clearly describe how to slide the counterweight onto the back of the tonearm and then balance it for playback. The company focuses on using sustainable materials in its products; it’s a compelling feature, but one that comes at a premium.Once you take the turntable out of the box, you locate the belt which comes preinstalled on the bottom of the platter.

This way, I don’t have to worry about unnecessary wear on my stylus when a finished record keeps spinning as I clean the bathroom. I’ve looked at reviews for both of them and they’re all overwhelmingly positive for both units, so I can’t decide. Featuring classic tracks such as Jamming, Waiting In Vain and Three Little Birds, it's an album well worth checking out if you haven't already – and what more apt piece of kit to play it on than a record player designed in collaboration with the late musician's own family. Everything is handily packed in recycled, molded cardboard inserts that keep all the delicate parts protected. Please note that these instructions are general and may apply to other models of House of Marley turntables. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The Stir It Up Wireless turntable provides a sleek design using solid bamboo, REGRIND™ silicone, REWIND™ fabric, recycled plastic, and recyclable aluminium. Lifting the tonearm into place sets the glass platter spinning, and I was impressed at how fast it gets up to speed — it’s on par with many direct-drive turntables I’ve used. Being green also gives House of Marley products a unique appearance, and the use of natural materials can make them look pretty fantastic.

But this one is really designed as a partner to their line of bluetooth speakers, so the sound will only ever be as good as the speaker, and bluetooth is not known for true lossless sound. I honestly have NO IDEA why House of Marley built such a beautiful turntable, but included a black fabric dust cover which hides the awesome design. Buffalo Soldier’s trumpet hits and Stir It Up‘s backup vocals land just right in the mids, while that extra treble helped make cymbals and hi-hats shimmer better.I tested the Stir It Up Lux with the House of Marley's Get Together 2 Speaker, using Bluetooth to connect the two.
