This book does an excellent job of showcasing that this would change the timeline at an increasing rate as the hero makes different decisions. That’s just the mindset, the system and world building of this book makes me greatly look forward to book two! And it’s not quite as well-known, but allow me to slide in his 1955 novel The Chrysalids here too, as a b-side.

Therefore, I skipped or glided over the many descriptions of eroticism which, while not a prude, I found a little overwhelming. Look you perspective book reader don’t know me, you probably won’t look at the other two or three book reviews I have left, but this book got me.I enjoy the author's other books, but this one would have worked much better as a straight cultivation story instead of a resurrection story. Another breath of fresh air: this novel is told from the other side of the apocalypse, a reminder that these things can be reversed, at least sometimes.
