Anyone who has met him will have experienced the presence he brings to a room, one i find he brings to the fore in the conqueror series more than the emperor one. This truly is a powerful piece of prose and a new novel that is a shining jewel amongst a very competitive genre. If you want a great historical fiction book that is engaging about the unrest in England before the Wars of the Roses, I highly recommend “Wars of the Roses: Stormbird” by Conn Iggulden. It will appeal to those who enjoy action-packed, high-octane novels with lots of battles and information on strategy.

Providing the reader with a birds eye view in a sense, he takes them on a journey, giving them a clear idea of what it was actually like then. However, Stormbird attracted me as I find the War of the Roses a particularly intriguing historical period peopled with really engaging characters.
