I've kept the bottle as it looks great too, I fill it with other bourbons, to try trick myself into thinking cheaper bourbon tastes better, but no. The Port finish provides such depth and richness, but for some I do recognise it is perhaps too sweet and doesn't have enough spicy edge for their liking. With a gold colour laced with amber hues and nearly copper in tone, the first aromas are of subtle vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts. By maturing our whiskey in charred oak barrels, then transferring it to secondary finishing casks, we crafted a distinct blend of refined complexity with an inviting flavor profile. Angel's Envy is always an interesting and sought after release, after the initial maturation in American oak barrels, it is then treated to the 'Scotch touch' and transferred to port barrels for 3 to 6 months.
