It is ideal for someone with some experience of pattern cutting or someone who is very familiar with using sewing patterns but it's also a great book for a beginner to use in collaboration to learning pattern cutting. It doesn't cover draping or more complicated cutting but ultimately that's something you learn over time anyway.

But what is the most amazing is that it teaches you how to draft different blocks with different ease in them which is great especially when you are drafting different styles. They're such a time and money saver in the long run, especially if you're about to make something in a very expensive fabric or you think you'll make the pattern again and again. Then a bit more patience, and some cursing and re-measuring and then realising you’ve put your top on back-to-front and that’s why it doesn’t fit.
