Perhaps Priest could have included some Ripper-era rarities to add some value and excitement — there were a few songs available. The box was re-released in 2008 in a cardboard long-box containing the same 4 CDs as the original release, but not the DVD, which is sold separately.

Metalogy" also features a terrific book, stuffed with lots of previously unseen photos, extensive and serviceable liner notes ( a little more digging into the band's early days would have been nice),and a handy timeline. Two newly released versions included a 1981 radio broadcast of “Green Manalishi” (unfortunately, meaning the studio track isn’t on here). Back to new songs, the sharp guitars and robotic pulse of “Bloodstone” gets fists pumping in the air.
