About this deal

It’s a good alternative for those who want smooth ink flow without the added maintenance of a fountain pen. Small in the pocket, large in the hand' was the design goal, and the Sport is a true pocket pen - concealing most of its length inside its own cap.

The nib is literally the same one as I used in the Kaweco Dia2 I reviewed, as between the three nibs that came with the two pens, only one was an original Kaweco branded 060. All Kaweco items are made with love and attention; we especially recommend the Liliput super-compact pens and the AL Special range.Limited edition Kaweco Bronze Sport Pens and Pencils will darken and develop unique patinas over time. The lack of a pen clasp is a definite advantage here, as there's nothing to interfere with shifting the pen into your favoured grip.

If you are a big fan of bronze, then this could be a good pen to add to your collection, however it is just too expensive for what you get, and this is probably the reason for the Bronze Sport being a limited edition. Known for their robust and high-end build specifications, a Kaweco pen will be a long-lasting addition to any fountain pen fan's collection. When I began this review, I wondered if I’d feel that this inexpensive Kaweco had lost its charm, after trying countless more expensive fountain pens.Kaweco are well known for their Sport range, designed with a short hexagonal appearance that is a joy to hold, and a unique push mechanism. Durch die nutzerbedingte Anwendung entsteht eine Veränderung der Oberfläche, die sich auf chemische und korrosive Einflüsse zurückführen lässt. Scrolling through social media profiles of the blogging scene you can quickly see that the colour lilac is highly coveted. The Kaweco FROSTED Sport stands out due to its light pastel colours and its slightly opaque, milky plastic which gives a glimpse of the inner workings of the pen.

As well as the aluminium AL Sport, there have also been brass and steel Kaweco models for quite a while. I have already covered the Sport model a couple of times, first a full review of my Orangina Spain only limited edition, and second a comparison of a number of limited editions from last year, two being plastic and one aluminium.

Now Kaweco are big in the limited editions world, but this one does surprise me as it is not just the usual different colour, but rather a different metal. The Kaweco Ebonit Sport is made from ebonite, one of the most popular materials for making fountain pens in the pre-plastic days of the early 20th century. With Kaweco COLLECTION, Kaweco can explore new colour combinations without the need to conform to the look of a particular series. The Sport range starts with the affordable Classic and Ice Sport plastic models (don't be put off - they're tough and ooze retro charm), and proceeds to the solid aluminium AL Sport and AC Sport models. In its capped form, the Kaweco Sport Fountain Pen is three-quarters the length of a standard Lamy Safari fountain pen, making it an excellent choice for a pocket-friendly companion.
