It is important to knead well before use to activate the gums for best performance - the ultra-fine icing sugar creates a 'dense' paste which, in cooler weather, may feel difficult to knead. It feels much better quality and much less sticky than I've used before and I shall not be going back to the old brand.

I did need a lot of the colouring because it was a purply-black rather than a true black, but I didn't have any problems and this was definitely the best looking cake covering I've ever done.
Granted I may be biased from years of using Massa Ticino but Couture was actually worse than the cheap stuff I occasionally get from Sainsbury's in an emergency. We'll arrange replacements no problem at all for you as we'd be keen for you to experience Couture as it should be.

Please note, the natural oils often rise to the surface of the past, and therefore must be kneaded well to mix these oils and activate the gum for top performance. I used Colourflair extra black (which I wasn't that impressed with to be honest) and the Couture handled it beautifully! The the icing survived perfectly, after a few hours sitting out of the fridge in the box, any condensation was gone and the cake looked perfect.
