Description

Coffee Logs burn long and slow under normal airflow conditions – more air will give a gentle flame and good heat. Smouldering fuel to try to extend burn time is bad for your stove, flue and the environment due to unburned particulate matter in the smoke. We don’t have a wood heater in the house we are currently renting or a pizza oven, but we may again in the future and I know loads of people who do. Coffee logs are logs of compacted coffee grounds that can be burnt in wood burning and multi-fuel stoves, as well as biomass boilers.

However, the coffee grounds left in the coffee making process can also be made into biofuel pellets. Once you have enough briquettes place them in your wood burner and light your fire as normal and add briquettes as required. Our products are not only designed to transform your body, but to promote your overall health and well-being. Made of recycled spent coffee grounds, Coffee Logs are designed for use in wood-burning and multi-fuel stoves.

A compact fire log for wood burners and multi-fuel stoves, Coffee Logs are sustainably made from recycled coffee grounds and they really turn up the heat. Briquettes are particularly useful in developing country where there’s increasingly limited access to other sources of fuel for cooking and heating water. Making coffee grounds into briquettes can be easy and simple even though you haven’t relative knowledge about the briquetting before. And not only do Coffee Logs save on harmful greenhouse gas emissions, they also burn efficiently – 20% hotter than kiln-dried wood.

Hopefully the near future will see these briki’s become more competitive and that’s what the company hopes to achieve. Examples of other municipal and agricultural organic wastes that are used for briquettes include coconut husks, sawdust, peanut husks, banana peel, rattan waste, sugarcane bagasse, rice husks and paper wastes. Coffee scented fire logs are a cool concept, especially if you experiment when making your own bespoke coffee logs. Coffee Logs are made from untreated used coffee grounds mixed with pure wood sawdust and are held together by compression alone. Before making bio-fuel briquettes, we need to make sure the size of the materials is smaller than 5mm, and moisture is below 12%.Different from the punching type, screw briquette machine for coffee grounds adopts the working principle of screw, using the screw to push the raw materials into the forming sleeve.

Pour the molasses into the bread tin and add the wax block and place in the oven for 25-30mins until the wax completely melts. Simply place them on top of hot coals and they’ll provide you with up to 4 hours of steady and reliable heat.Tammy works in collaboration with community groups, businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies throughout Gippsland (and beyond) to deliver waste education and advice. If you plan to make biofuel briquettes from coffee grounds for commercial purpose which generally requires medium or large scale production, setting up a coffee ground briquetting plant would be a great choice. The perfect balance between the long-burning properties of Night Briquettes and the high heat output of Hardwood Heat Logs, Fire Logs are the perfect heating fuel for almost any occasion. Our coffee biomass logs – Coffee Logs – are environmentally friendly home fire logs made from recycled coffee grounds.
