Overall, Bobby’s Gin is a unique and award-winning gin that brings together the flavours of both Dutch and Indonesian traditions, creating a distinctive and flavorful spirit. Inspired by their grandfather Bobby Alfons, who immigrated to the Netherlands from the Moluccan ‘spice island’ Ambon and infused Dutch jenever with a mixture of Indonesian spices, grandsons Sebastiaan and David embarked on a mission to revive this heritage. The recipe used to create this fantastic gin came from the grandfather of the creator, and includes local ingredients from Holland and Indonesia including rosehip, peppers, lemongrass, juniper (of course! Bobby loved Dutch Genever, but missed the taste of home, so he started infusing it with Indonesian spices and herbs, unknowingly creating his own gin and laying down the foundation for Bobby’s Gin.
