Growing up on the family farm in Ballyfin, Ireland, Noel Fitzpatrick spent his childhood tending to the cattle and sheep with his beloved sheepdog Pirate, who comforted him after he was bullied by the kids at school.
It is animals like these who have taught Noel the valuable lessons of Love, Hope and Faith - lessons that have sustained him in his life beyond being the Supervet. As he grew up and became a lot more beardy these inspirations held strong and so he moved to London to study BA Illustration and Animation at Kingston University. Noel shares the moving and often funny stories of the animals he’s treated and the unique ‘animal people’ he has met along the way. Picking up from where How Animals Saved My Life left off, Noels shares some moving, heart-warming, tear-jerking and often eye-brow-raising stories of the animals he has treated in his career. At times, the presentation of words didn’t quite work for me but it is a sincere and gentle tribute to the memory of a best friend and confidante. If I fail, it's life or death, but still you get up, because there is immense joy in every day that she brings to us, and now she gets to share her light with us.
