About this deal

Developers can modify the core code, add custom features and functionality by installing extensions from Magento Connect marketplace.

The ZTE MU5001 MiFi has the gigabit network interface WAN/LAN self-adaptive function and supports wireless and wired broadband Internet access, which can be freely selected. Thusly a device such as a laptop computer that has two network interfaces (one wired, one Wi-Fi) can quite properly have two IP addresses, one for each NIC. The ZTE MU5001 LTE Advanced 5G mobile hotspot is therefore one of the fastest mobile routers available on Mifi-Hotspots. Does this look like I have set things up correctly, or have I done something wrong (have I even provided enough info for anyone to be able to tell)? My one complaint is that I would like to be able to assign static IPs to some of the kit around the house - printer, NAS drive, home server, etc - but cannot do so since the MW6 software does not allow that functionality. To "fix" your IP addresses, then it's probably simplest for the novice to do this using DHCP as described previously by Neil. So maybe, as you suggest, I just leave things to settle for a while and then see whether more devices appear over the next day or two, at which point I can look to assign their IPs. With the ZTE MU5001 5G LTE Advanced mobile wireless router, Wi-Fi devices can be connected to the internet. Should I disable wifi on one or the other (if so, which) or should I manually set them to be the same?

With digital management and bulk purchases from original manufacturers and authorized suppliers globally, Router-switch. However, all of this still leaves me with the fundamental problem of how do I fix the IP addresses of specific devices if I can't see those devices in the ZTE control panel? Shouldn't I be able to see all the devices connected via the MW6 mesh system through the ZTE's admin dashboard? With your setup do you need wifi from the ZTE at all, or do you get full coverage from your MW6 system? So, the 0/1/5 in the third octet of the IP address does not in and of itself define the subnet mask, but IF your subnet masks were all 255. As such, nothing is in any meaningful way "connected" to a router, it's simple not necessary in the way IP networks function.

Download our advance guides for more in-dept details for everything you need to know for the perfect installation. My only issue is that I would have expected to see all my various connected devices listed by the ZTE but I don't (although just one has appeared in the interim). Am I right that the difference in the third digit of the IP addresses (0/1/5) indicates different subnet masks? The Tenda will probably name all its nodes with the same SSID (or offer you the option) because that's one of the reasons why one deploys a fleet of "managed" Wi-Fi APs. This Purchasing option is used to purchase our fantastic, well known and loved router antenna modification service.

My understanding was that in the bridge mode setup, my ZTE would do all the DHCP management and the MW6 would simply extend that network around the house. If you get full coverage, and provided you can access the ZTE settings either from a wired ethernet device or via the MW6 wifi connection then you could simply turn off wifi in your ZTE.Also note that you may also have to power cycle your client devices once you’ve set up these addresses to force the clients to update - once they have an IP address they do not keep checking back constantly to see if this should change. You then need to look in the advanced settings of your ZTE router to see where/how you assign reserved addresses to your client devices so they always receive that “fixed” address from your router.
