I’m no technophobe but it’s impossible to get subtitles on an LG TV even though the subtitle logo is displayed. Does anyone know where I can find just these sections online of just the subtitles so I can read along on my phone while watching on the telly? Sure, you might notice something new with subtitles, like a prominent sigh, or a quiet sound or whisper. While watching HBO's "House of the Dragon" recently, I found myself doing something I had vehemently avoided in the past: turning the subtitles on. So to get subtitles, it is necessary to press the ‘*’ button on the remote, arrow right to the Subtitles option (furthest right) and select English there (if subtitles are available for the programme, which is not always the case ).

At the end of the day, it really just comes down to preference, but as I said, I generally don't use subtitles for the reason above — unless it's a big-budget TV series based on popular IP, apparently. They are steeped in actors with thick accents reciting countless characters and locations that can easily be mixed up. Same issue for me, almost 1 week after the episode aired and still no subtitles leaving me unable to watch this programme.With a fantasy show like this I like to read the subs because it's quicker to pick up the character names and follow the storyline better.
