Given its location on a sweeping bay and a proud Victorian industrial heritage, Swansea is a disappointment with little for tourists apart from large hotels, bus and train station, and Wind Street (mega bars). The OS Explorer map of Gower is a must-have when visiting the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South Wales. These are the map of choice for many walkers, climbers, off-road cyclists, horse riders and anyone involved in outdoor activities.

The Gower proper only has smaller places and the odd Air BnB, however, there are many camping and caravan sites. The data we hold is extremely secure and we are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so. These were kindly donated by Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water and engraved by Crofty monumental mason, Leighton Rees.Our beautiful Gower Peninsula map covers this, the first area in Great Britain to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coast path continues on to Langland, or you can walk back over the headland hill, which has nice views of Swansea Bay (recommended).

The walk out to Worm's Head is a fabulous adventure on a sunny day, but do check the tides, which are displayed on a board near the causeway – it’s only reachable for two hours either side of low tide. Some attribute Swansea's moniker as the "Graveyard of Ambition" to the fact that Gower provides an exceptional environment for living and raising a family. Ordnance Survey (OS) mapping covers England, Wales and Scotland - not Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands.Can walk on to Whiteford Sand or back via Llangennith Burrows dunes to the Llangennith end of Rhossili beach. To celebrate the Millennium, the Gower Society planned a symbolic link across the area covered by the ancient lordship of Gower between Penlle'r Castell in the north-east and Rhossili in the far south-west of the peninsula. Chef Hywel Griffith is a master of seasonal, local ingredients: the fish is landed by boats that bob in the sea just beyond the terrace, veg from local farms, and lamb from the salt marshes a few miles away. OS Explorer Map is the Ordnance Survey’s most detailed folding map and is recommended for anyone enjoying outdoor activities including walking, horse riding and off-road cycling. The terrace of Rhossili's pub overlooks the beach from the headland - it easily has the best view of any pub in the country.
