About this deal

Made from sheep's wool and bracken, the mixture is high in natural nutrients and has excellent water retention. For years there have been warnings about climate change, on what we need to do to protect and sustain this precious planet. They support species such as carnivorous sundew plants and uncommon insects like large heath butterflies, four-spotted chaser dragonflies and picture-winged bog craneflies.

Dalefoot Composts are a unique range of environmentally friendly peat free composts produced in the Lake District. I am also a reckless gardener and somewhat lazy so I leave my tubers in the ground over winter and just hope they appear again in the spring.No other growing media has such a high concentration of naturally derived nutrients for improved plant size and quality. I have planted up one pot but intend to get some identical plants and 2 planters to try a comparison with 'ordinary' compost. The texture of this compost is also similar to peat, which makes beautifully friable compost but is so much better for the environment.
