Don't get me wrong I *love* the DBC-611 design, it's retro, stylish, and restrained at the same time, and as soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be this or nothing - even though I became aware of the DBC-32 through this thread, I never even considered it. say for an important date possibly a very useful function for many people though probably best to set the annual reminder a few days before the actual day for a particularly important date. I find this watch is a good way to enjoy technology but also separate yourself from being completely engrossed. Agree with other reviewers that the light is really quite poor and ununiform, strange as I haven't seen this on my other Casios. I've never had an anodised Casio watch, only a black plastic one (the W-741, had it forever, a brilliant watch) and a stainless steel Rolex Submariner replica, the MTD-1043, which I also love. Set reminders for appointments, events, or deadlines, and the watch will discreetly notify you with a gentle beep.
The case has been replaced twice by now, so unfortunately the WR on the display is gone, but it works and looks again like when it was new! It’s nice to have a watch that actually tells time and can perform other functions and is a separate thing from say a smartphone or smart watch all of which from a visual standpoint are very dull and uninteresting looking.
