Despite its size, you can install some powerful hardware inside and have yourself a lean, mean Steam Machine. Either way, it will be interesting to see what other cases of this calibre emerge in the coming months as homemade Steam Boxes start to flourish. Edit 2: I ended up not getting the PNY but did snag an EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 XC3 ULTRA GAMING card which is a bit over 2 slots wide.

Unless you're on a really tight budget, it's probably worth the money to go with a Corsair SFX PSU instead of the bundled PSU. The system is near silent, although there is a slight rattle from the GPU that I noticed when the system is laying flat (my preferred orientation).This SKU is still good if you're trying to keep your budget tight though, which I was, and don't mind a little frustration. My only concern is if blower style GPU cooler would make a big difference - for entire case temps it surely will, but hard to say how big the diff will be compared to noise that it will make.
