He rarely speaks so when u can read his chapters and hear his thoughts about how enamored he is with her just made my heart sing. I usually hate when the breakup reason isn't revealed until much later on, but I didn't mind it in here! I usually feel pretty disconnected when it comes to books that constantly switch between present and past timelines, but here it felt so easy.

I don’t personally love reading about female characters that have no backbone or understanding of reality especially regarding the situation in the book with the groomsman. If you’re looking for a fast paced read that has some incredible steam and a swoon worthy MMC, give this one a try in July!

She was so grounded in reality but also had that extra spunk and confidence and wittiness that we all wish we had. Or that he got a tattoo of amaryllis that's the name of girl and is a flower specie on his chest like right near his heart. I haven’t read many romance novels with a wedding planning setting, and it was fun getting to experience the ins and outs of what goes on behind the scenes, while also seeing Ama and Elliot’s creative genius at play. The story is about Ama Torres, who became a wedding planner because she planned many of her mom’s sixteen weddings. Sparks fly, hearts get entangled, memories resurface and they are at the beginning again, falling in love all over.

From the get go the reader is pulled into Ama's world, the character voice and description is so clear. I was hoping that maybe Ama is gonna explain to him why she was conflicted on the day he asked her to marry her and you know, full-on confessions, but there was none. any book blurbed by sierra simone officially has my stamp of approval, because tell me why this is one the best romance books i've ever read? what i find outstanding about 'Forget Me Not' is how the past chapters retracing the protagonists’ relationship were mainly recounted from the main male character point of view and how the present chapters were transcribed from the female protagonist’s perspective only.

Some scenes had SO MUCH going on, it felt like watching a movie where everything is happening at the same time and you’re just gobbling it up. Also I’ve been posting a ton of historical romance lately (bc I’m truly in my historical romance era right now), but I wanted to break that up and finally post a contemporary review!

Also talking someone into getting married to someone that they don’t like just because you think it’s your job to get them down the isle and then justifying that they can get divorced and married again is insane. While there is a conflict, I mean it is a second chance after all, it felt realistic and actually made sense to the plot. She is a musical theater geek, fandom nerd, and the author of many spicy fanfictions as Lovesbitca8, including the popular fanfic The Auction. I liked how Ama was the one to make everything right between them in the end and how she accepted her insecurities but was also ready to start something new with Elliot. That’s saying something too because I just got glasses so I’ve been seeing things in a whole new light, but this cover still takes the cake.

Going into this book, I knew that Julie Soto is a fanfic darling, but I hadn’t experienced her writing for myself. There were a couple of little things I could have done without - the 63 mentions of donuts being one, but I get that it was "her thing". Although she had feelings for him she kept it to herself and rather than dealing like a grown ass adult she shut herself down and went with flow with resulted in elliot being hurt numerous times. When Ama is hired to plan a celebrity wedding that will bring her business national exposure, there's a catch: Elliot is already contracted to design the flowers. There was humor that actually made me giggle woven throughout that really added to the overall story. Can Ama and Elliott put the past behind them to make this wedding perfect and get the publicity they both need to take their businesses to the next level? I read it so fast, and I might actually go back to the beginning and start over because it’s SO GOOD!
