The biggest going on I missed is covered pretty extensively early in this series, and that is that the heroes have found a cure!Secondly, Tom Taylor places Lobo in the conflict to be a major savior, but with less contribution than I was led to believe. The first Lobo story I read involved him being killed, eaten by snails, shit out by said snails, and then being stitched back together by his healing factor. Once again, Taylor is really clever with some of the twists and plot-points, like the way that the virus ultimately goes universal.

Once in the air, Adam ran into Wonder Woman, who he tried to shout to, only for him to realize she was not the same woman from before. Damian wearing the pure white Batman costume that Jon gifted him was a great way to symbolize how far he has come and the sacrifice he was going to make.We have two artists this issue with Lucas Meyer joining Trevor Hairsine, and they work very well with each other as you don’t get distracted from the change in art; honestly, they blend very nicely with each other. What began as a battle for Earth has become a war for the galaxy in the epic final installment in the massive DCeased storyline!

Regardless of the danger, Batman doesn’t tell Jon (Superman) or Cassie (Wonder Woman) exactly what the weapon is. Erebos probably never expected Batman to be his biggest threat in a universe with the likes of Darkseid and Superman.Through all the horror there was a reward for them as they saved their loved ones and the universe as a whole from another crisis. At this point, the "oh no, [blank] got infected" twist is past the point of having the meaning or impact it had early in this storyline. As the Anti-Life Equation spreads into the cosmos, the survivors of Earth prepare for the coming apocalypse and realize their only hope could lie in the most powerful surviving hero from the first DCeased series.

Probably none more unexpected of intriguing than when Alfred Pennyworth–of all characters across the DC universe, ALFRED PENNYWORTH–bonds with The Spectre! Opening this final issue with Mister Miracle and Big Barda reuniting with their son and Clark and Jon Kent meeting their Kryptonian family for the first time was a great tone setter. More Spectre/Alfred is always a great thing, and the creative team of Tom Taylor, Trevor Hairsine, Andy Lanning, and Rain Beredo welcome Lucas Meyer as they do wonders with putting the universe in danger. For this to be a true ending our heroes needed to go to the source of the DC Universe problems, which was the embodiment of the Anti-Life Equation in Erebos.
