All the Leica M mount lenses are also full frame so they give me the necessary coverage on any of my Sony E bodies. All edges on the specular highlights are beautifully smooth, and there are no harsh edges or onion rings. I got Fuji X Mount version and what I can say is that this lens is not for someone who is looking for edge to edge sharpness. It comes with a slip-on lens cap which I really like it sticks on satisfyingly and the filter thread is a very small 43 millimeters in diameter. which shows an interleaved grid pattern, similar to the fresnel that classic manual focus SLR users have seen.

Check the reviews at “Sony Alpha Blog” (not my site) it has great info about lots of Chinese lenses and even some very useful comparisons. Another snap shot example of what this lens can give wide open at close dist: (these were test samples I did when I originally bought the lens) DOF is extremely shallow - literally a few mm. Some good news they stopped down to f/4 and the lenses reasonably sharp from corner to corner without needing to refocus.

On the ring there is a scale with a focusing distance in meters and feet and a depth of field scale. II is not the best solution, most likely that is why it was replaced / supplemented with a more balanced 7Artisans 35mm 1: 1. I will keep following this brand as I think that I like where they are coming from but as this stage I think the quality is work in progress. The wordpress gallery algorithm/compression makes the images look really soft and weird unless you go to the lower right hand corner and press full size.

I just thought I'd pass along my own personal observations so some of your excellent blog readers may gain some knowledge before making a hefty purchase.it has the nicer quality lens mount that doesn’t rotate quite as much on the mount at the 55mm lens does. Another thing worth noting is that the 7artisans is indeed overall smaller, this in both size and weight.

However, if we refocus the lens then we can see a sliver of semi focused image they're surrounded by chromatic aberration.
