Description

Kimonos restaurant specializes in oriental cuisine. If you want something East Asian, particularly teppanyaki, then this is the place to go. The flavourful aromas inside this restaurant as the chef prepares your meal will help to build your anticipation as you and other couples sit around the grill. This is the only restaurant at Sandals that offers this performance-style dining experience, and it is a great way to get to know other couples. Lobster season in Jamaica is from the end of summer to early spring. This is the only time of the year when lobster can legally be caught and eaten on this island. We’ve got more information on the lobster season in Jamaica below, as well as details on where to go to enjoy a tasty lobster meal while in Jamaica! Good to know: 96% of all ingredients used for the dishes at Sandals Resorts in Jamaica are freshly sourced from a local farm and on your plate within 24 hours. This enables Sandals to support the local economy, particularly small farmers. Good to know: Lobster tends to be quite pricy for a number of reasons. For starters, the yield of lobster meat once cleaned is quite low. Even when the supply of lobster is high, the prices won't necessarily drop because there are lots of logistics involved in successfully catching lobster. Part of this process includes the storage of lobster once caught. Lobsters must be kept in seawater tanks and shipped live. Usually, lobsters are cooked alive which helps to ensure that they're safe to eat.

On the sushi menu, try the rainbow roll, seared tuna tataki roll, and Caribbean dynamite roll! While savoring the delectable experience that Soy offers, you’ll be able to decide for yourself whether the sushi at this restaurant lives up to guests' praise! There is a Soy restaurant available at most Sandals resorts. Sandals Resorts are known to offer a great variety of cuisines including Mediterranean cuisine, Asian cuisine, European fusion, tapas, Tex-Mex, pizzerias, and Latin American cuisine. Here are some of the other options you won't want to miss out on: Want unlimited lobster without worrying about the bill? Stay at one of Jamaica's all-inclusive resorts! They'll usually have a wide selection of seafood on their menus. Try Beaches Resorts in Negril or Beaches Resorts in Ocho Rios for the ultimate culinary adventure mixed in with a ton of exciting activities including land and water sports. The cuisine at Cucina Romana is inspired by classic cuisine from the Lazio region of Italy, while at Mario’s, you’ll find cuisine inspired by the Lombardia region of Italy. Popular menu selections at Mario’s include pasta with fresh seafood like swordfish, mussels, shrimp, calamari, and more. The signature dish of Mario’s is the Ossobuco alla Milanese, which is a delicious veal shank served with saffron risotto. The spaghetti carbonara and lasagna fettuccine are delicious as well! There’s no question these will be a hit at any summer cookout, particularly if it’s a seafood cookout. Guests will probably be talking about your Flip Flobsters for weeks! At least that’s what I hope they’ll be talking about, and not how I accidentally set myself on fire being overzealous with the lighter fluid.Expert tip: Aside from its amazing cuisine there are many things Jamaica is known for including its amazing beaches. Here are some of the best beaches in Jamaica and the best areas to stay in Jamaica as well! We won’t blame you if the dining is what you’re most looking forward to during your Sandals all-inclusive vacation - aside from the Red Lane® Spa, infinity pools, and overwater bungalows, of course. Sandals Resorts have so many options for dining, from gourmet to more casual options and most of these restaurants have their own unique themes. Offering cuisine from all over the world, as well as restaurants that cater to specific dietary needs including food allergies, gluten-intolerance, and vegetarianism/veganism, you won’t want to miss out on these unlimited options during your Sandals all-inclusive vacation. Grenada is known as Spice Island! Those spices are definitely used in the kitchens of some of the best restaurants on this island like those at Sandals Grenada. This resort has 10 restaurants including the popular Butch’s, Soy, Le Jardinier, Kimonos, Cucina Romana, and Café de Paris. If you choose to stay at Sandals Grenada, you’ll be able to enjoy nights of sushi and champagne, the pools and swim-up bar, and the beautiful Pink Gin Beach just steps from the resort.

For more gourmet options, try Schooners Seafood Grill (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) at Sandals South Coast in Whitehouse, Jamaica. During the open season, you should definitely try the Grilled Caribbean Lobster Tail. The Lobster Bisque with parmesan cheese & puff pastry twist is also quite appetizing. Neptune’s, a Mediterranean restaurant (open for lunch and dinner), is also known for its delectable seafood options. This restaurant can be found at Sandals Ochi and Sandals South Coast in Jamaica. Other than that, there are also all-inclusive resorts in Negril that serve up lobster and seafood meals in Jamaica.

GIFT GUIDES

If you're thinking about staying at a Sandals all-inclusive resort, chances are you’ve heard good things about its restaurants. You may have heard that this luxury resort is one of the best all-inclusive resorts for delicious food. We concur! Sandals restaurants are known for their world-class chefs, the freshest ingredients, and the incredible ambiance of the multiple restaurants located at each resort. Good to know: If you’ll be staying with Sandals, you’ll be able to find high-quality seafood dishes at every resort. Expert tip: The French restaurant La Toc at Sandals Regency La Toc is the perfect restaurant for a date night outside of Sandals Grande St. Lucian. You’ll just need to make reservations, then hop on a free transfer and head over for a magical evening! Good to know: If you're interested in a lobster meal in the Caribbean, keep in mind that the lobster season varies depending on the island. In some islands, the lobster season opens around July and spans a few months. In Barbados, the lobster season opens in September and ends in April. The spirit of France comes alive at La Parisienne where you can dine indoors or out on the terrace. Some of the dishes you’ll want to try here include Coquilles, poulet Cordon Bleu, and Châteaubriand, the latter being a hand-carved filet of beef tenderloin, green asparagus, gratin dauphinois, and creamy five peppercorn sauce.

Soy is a great option if you’re craving fresh seafood. The atmosphere here is elegant and romantic, so it makes a perfect location for a date night. Soy specializes in sushi and other Japanese cuisines with menu items like spring rolls and dumplings, eel, octopus, salmon, shrimp, tuna, yellowtail, crab, and lobster (when in season). Where to find Italian cuisine: Top-notch Italian restaurants can be found at every Sandals Resort, except Sandals Royal Plantation (Royal Plantation guests can still dine at Valentino’s at Sandals Ochi) and Sandals Royal Barbados (Royal Barbados guests can dine at Portofino’s at Sandals Barbados). Note: Sandals Royal Bahamian and Sandals Emerald Bay are both located in The Bahamas, but not on the same island. There’s no easy way to get from one to the other unless you book a flight. So, choose wisely! Neptune’s is a Mediterranean restaurant where you can find fresh seafood, kebabs, pasta, salads, and more. Try traditional options like the feta lamb kebabs, tzatziki, and saffron-infused Bouillabaisse at this oceanfront restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner.

The lobster flip flops come in sizes ranging from a U.S. Women's 4-14, along with men's sizes ranging from 4-11.

Where to find Caribbean cuisine: You’ll find restaurants dedicated to Caribbean cuisine at most Sandals Resorts. Schooners Seafood Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This restaurant has a beach club vibe and here you can enjoy some of the freshest seafood with amazing views. Some of the menu items worth trying at this restaurant include lobster bisque, roasted pumpkin & spinach filo, grilled swordfish steak, grilled Caribbean lobster tail, and more. Even if you don't like seafood, you'll still be able to find something you’ll enjoy at this restaurant. If you’re in Jamaica, the type of lobster you're most likely to find on your plate is the Caribbean spiny lobster. This kind of lobster is said by some to have a fishier taste than the Maine lobster. They pretty much look like giant crayfish and don’t have the large claws of the Maine lobster. The meat from Caribbean spiny Lobster is also slightly firmer.
