Description

Rhino mulch glue is designed to dry clear, leaving a natural appearance without altering the color or texture of the mulch. The temperature range of a mulch glue should be taken into account when selecting an adhesive for a particular project, as well. Easily apply this product with a sprayer for optimal coverage rates on each surface of your project. And the fast-drying formula sets in six to 24 hours, depending on the weather conditions, and can last anywhere between 12 to 24 months before you need to reapply it. There are a variety of formulas to choose from, including those that target grass and others that more broad coverage.

It is important to select mulch glue that is easy to apply and requires little or no time for preparation, application, and cleanup. If your landscaping rocks see a lot of foot traffic — an often-traveled pea gravel garden trail, for example — you might have to reapply the glue as often as every few weeks. Still, depending on how well you apply the adhesive coating, how many layers you use, and the grade of your gravel, you might end up with a few loose rocks.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Please note that this product has not been formulated to work on rubber mulch, so please read all directions carefully before use. We don’t ever play on that side of the house, but I imagine that would be an issue if we had pea gravel in our backyard!

A garden sprayer makes it really easy to control where you want the glue to go, which makes application a breeze. I don’t want our gravel to create a mess for our neighbors, so I figured this was a good project to try out! Enviroscape LA has been featured in PONDS USA Magazine, Pond and Garden Lifestyles Magazine, and the Los Angeles Times. Later on, when I mixed up more solution for my second coat, I realized that I could just mix everything directly in the garden sprayer.I ended up using an old bucket and I used red solo cups to measure out the mixture (one solo cup of glue to two solo cups of water). Weather-resistant glues are designed to retain their performance characteristics in extreme weather conditions, such as high temperatures or moisture exposure. But I did notice a bit of gravel getting onto the sidewalk, particularly in the front area before their door. UV-resistant mulch glues are specially formulated to maintain their strength in direct sunlight over long periods of time without fading or discoloration due to UV exposure.

About this item STRONG LIKE GLUE: Prevents movement of mulch, rock, sand, gravel, pebbles, and more caused by rain, wind, wildlife, mowers, leaf blowers, pets, and other sources NO MIXING REQUIRED: Premixed, no water or measuring required!

Grandma wasnt able to walk on our walkway because the rocks were loose that her walker would get stuck. Bought this Mulch glue to hopefully stop my mulch from moving during hard rain, plus I wanted to be able to blow the leaves off the mulch in the fall without blowing the mulch. Acrylic adhesives offer superior weather and UV resistance, while polyurethane adhesives have greater flexibility and elasticity properties.

You should choose an adhesive with an open time that suits your needs since some adhesives have shorter open times than others. Then, you won't have to worry about off-gassing (though that's not such an issue for outdoor glues) or the safety of plants, children, and household pets. If the surface has not been seal properly and the base it was applied to was not a suitable material or frost and moisture were present, the top surface could separate from the base. Wait until each is dry to the touch (it turns from white to clear) before starting the next coat — aim for two to three coats in total.

If you haven't already, ensure your gravel surface is level and compacted using a grading rake and tamper. A: Yes, mulch glue is generally safe for both your plants and the environment when used as directed. You will need to choose the correct type of adhesive for your project based on the intended application.
