Afterward just explode them. I did it 5 at a time without missing any credit once i figured this out. Use Flatulate and (here's the important part) WAIT for Flatulate to finish its cooldown completely, THEN hit Explode. when you have a lot of troll on your abomination and/or he's about to die,make him explode and STAY NEARBY TO GET THE CREDITS Comment by 10718I think I figured this quest out, but this quest seems to be strange enough that this might only work for me.

You only need to be close to your pet when you blow it up. I would say it's 20 yards. The best way to gauge that is to see the max range for taming one. It's the same distance you can be away when you use Burst at the Seams. Also, I had best success taking out small clumps of aboms, three to six roughly. Sure, I could collect up more, but it seemed like it just gave it more opportunities to disassociate me from my abom's kills. Not one for the impatient, but eventually I completed the quest chain and finished my achievement Guru of Drakuru.

All of the mobs are in range, I just don't get quest credit for the kills when my pet explodes. I've also gone down 50k xp per hour since starting this quest.

In complete combustion, the burning fuel will produce only water and carbon dioxide (no smoke or other products). The flame is typically blue. For this to happen, there needs to be enough oxygen to combine completely with the fuel gas. Run and aggro some drakkari, this is the hardest part, make sure that the abomination does not hit them, so you'll be able to aggro 2-3 drakkari at time before abomination starts to hit one of them, group them and BOOM.
