But a good tablet is not all about specs. What sets the Intuos Pro apart from all the other tablets in the market is its quality.

The medium version sports a slightly smaller physical footprint than its predecessor and yet gains a larger active area. Depending on your desk size you could place it alongside your keyboard if you prefer not to use the ExpressKeys and touch ring. However, taking advantage of these time-saving features and shortcuts is far more productive. It’s also wireless, with Bluetooth 4.2 helping you to declutter your desktop and work from your sofa. Wacom Pro Pen 2 Now some of you may say it depends on your budget and how much money you are willing to spend – which is right. The vast degree of pressure responsiveness in the Pro Pen 2 is something I really appreciated, especially when it came to dodging, burning and light retouching. Press hard and the results are more pronounced, use a lighter touch and everything is more subtle. If you are particularly heavy-handed you can adjust the overall sensitivity of the pen. The difference between the Wacom pen and a mouse is like hand-writing a note with a fine-tipped Sharpie versus a paint rollerThere are two types of pen nibs that come with Intuos Pro. The first one is the standard tip which is smoother and has less friction and makes less noise while drawing. The other type is the “Felt Nib”– it has more resistance and a slightly more grippy feel on the surface. Pen Stand

The Wacom Pro Pen 2 is comfortable to hold for long periods of time, and has impressive pressure sensitivityThe Wacom Pro Pen 2’s stand stores additional nubs. The pen itself has two customizable buttons – flip it upside down and you can use it as an eraser. The tablet itself has rubber grip on the bottom to keep it in place, and its slim profile makes it easy to travel with or store away when space is limited. In use

The Wacom Intuos Pro is a graphics tablet rather than a pen display, meaning you’ll need to hook it up to some kind of external display like a tablet or monitor. Once this is done – and the setup process is pretty intuitive and straightforward – you’ve got a highly effective drawing tablet on your hands, and one that comes at a great price. The medium and large models come with a total of eight shortcut button which is divided into two groups of 4 button. If you are using a laptop with around 15-inches display – then you would be fine with small or medium-size Intuos Pro. Finally, think about how big a drawing area you need. If you've never used a graphics tablet before, it may be worth trying one in a shop, or just practising on a piece of paper to get a sense of what works best. There is a high-quality pen stand included in the box. The pen stand holds the pen while not in use. It can keep the pen in standing as well as horizontal position. It has a metal base which gives it extra stability. The driver allows your tablet to communicate with your computer. It also helps the computer to understand the pressure and tilt data. There is very little noticeable lag, which can be a problem with cheaper tablets, and the pen is comfortable in your hand for long stints, providing superb pressure responsiveness and giving you innate control and precision for detailing.

The tablet has decent battery life and lasts multiple days on a single charge. One important feature to notice here – unlike other tablets which boast of wireless connectivity, Wacom does not use any wireless receiver. Included in the box: Pen stand, Extra pentips, Drivers, USB cable, Pro pen 2, Instruction booklet and the sample texture pad. You can also customize the button on the pen along with changing the pressure settings. On-screen shortcuts like radial menus can also be set as per your liking. AccessoriesA stylus is one of the most important parts of a drawing tablet. Some even consider it more important than the tablet itself. The way we as a society "worked through" on the job injuries was that the employer would let go of the injured (unproductive) worker and replace them with a new worker who wasn't injured yet. This allowed the project to continue, the bridge to be built, etc. The individual and his family was sacrificed for the advancement of the community. LIterally thousands of men were killed or injured getting our cities built before we had better technology. Of course, Photoshop is not the only application the Intuous Pro is good for; I also used the tablet to work on images in Adobe Lightroom. And while it was useful for cloning and healing, I found it to be a little unwieldy when making adjustments to the slider. Ultimately I think I still prefer utilizing the mouse and the keyboard shortcuts that have been burned into my muscle memory for Lightroom work. Bottom line If you want the added features but not the size, a smaller option is available. With a 7.4in screen and weighing less than a pound, the Wacom Intuos Pro Small is wonderfully portable. Be aware, though, that unlike the medium and large versions of this model, you won’t get the extra pen color rings and texture sheet sample card.
