Description

Add in a truly fascinating, if not quite comprehensive, extras package and you have a highly recommended disc. Crafted in the breathtaking animation style of the original masterpiece, and bursting with enchanting songs as well as new characters, Bambi 2 is an unforgettable coming-of-age tale that will reign forever as a modern-day classic! A large part of the accuracy in making the animals appear human is due to the fact that the animators didn't study just the animals they were imitating, but human children, as well, to capture the traits they sought to transfer over.

The only pieces missing are a look at the restoration process, a short history lesson of the year the film was released (1942), and a preview of Bambi II--certainly not essential! A multi-part "making of Bambi" docu efficiently covers a lot of unfamiliar material, including introducing us to the child vocal talent used in the film, and explaining how nature and anatomy studies gave the forest animals a heightened realism. The colours have been completely redone, and I do not know the film well enough to know how faithful to the original the colour palette is, but it is certainly impressive. I remember some college students criticizing Bambi along political lines, saying it reinforced a patriarchal society with the silent, god-like Alpha-male buck lording it over a forest full of worshipful does.

A lot of work has gone into this extra and it is a truly fascinating dip into Disney archives, giving an illuminating insight into the making of the film. This extra, presented by Patrick Stewart, draws on transcripts that Disney himself had made of every creative meeting during the making of the film.

Instead, the visuals carry almost everything and our own knowledge of the realities of life fills in the blanks. We also sell a wide range of refurbished Mobile Phones and Tech from major brands like Apple, Samsung, Sony, Microsoft and much more. The animators knew that a real forest was so incredibly detailed, it would be hard for the characters not to get lost in them. Just as he used the things unsaid as a doorway to connect with our minds, he also used the things unseen. The third section “Backstage Disney” contains the meat and potatoes of this package - and an excellent dish they are too.Language options for all subtitles and menus--which you choose at the start of the disc--are English SDH, French, and Spanish. He was the first and closest friend of Prince Bambi, whom he sees as great potential for amazing things. There are some absolute gems in this documentary, and we get to hear from several people who actually worked on the film all those years ago.

His best pal thumper has a full range of winning kid qualities: enthusiasm that gets him into trouble, spirit that wins him friends, and a mischievous streak that's irresistible. There is no visible artefacting on the transfer, and some grain is retained to give it that more natural look. The cycles of birth, love, seasons and death in Bambi have an almost mystical feel, helped by the reverential music score and its paeans to the changes in nature. Fairness, equality and enlightenment are fine, but if we're to draw parallels with human behavior, it's easy to see that goodly number of impressionable females still flock to a few desirable males, whether they be high school jocks or hotshots with a corner office. As a fawn, Bambi had a fur coat of safety orange and wheat spots and underbelly with a brown stripe that ran from his head down to his tail. A couple of Disney's earlier releases appeared to "repaint" the studio's original animation, but this carefully nuanced job seems to retain minor artwork and camera imperfections that should remain part of the show.

His first winter is a time of adolescent fun in the snow and on the frozen ice, but when Bambi becomes a yearling there are bitter lessons to learn about life. To be frank, the movie can help a young person understand that all of their confused feelings and experiences aren't necessarily unique - that at any given moment there are millions of people going through all of those universally- experienced stages. The deer goes out into the clearing to prove his point by greeting some hunters and is promptly shot dead. There are two of these scenes, and one is merely an alternative take of a scene that is in the movie anyway - Bambi's first snow. You're in for a rare treat, and once the Disney people do what they do and yank this disc off the shelves, it's hard to say how long you'll have to wait before you get the chance to see it again. It may be a little slow paced by modern standards, but the languidness of this study of character and nature is well served by a respectful and careful restoration.
