Jag tyckte riktigt bra om Björns berättelse, kanske till viss del för att han känns väldigt uppriktigt. I think that we all need to learn how to quiet our minds and not be so distracted by all of the junk ideas that we are constantly generating. Jag kände till Björn Natthiko Lindeblad sedan innan, jag tror dom flesta svenskar har hört hans namn, men jag hade ingen aning om att orden skulle möta mig så som dom gjorde. The narrative is structured loosely as the chronological journey of a Swedish man’s journey from the point he abandons a conventional, middle-class life as a budding economist and becomes a forest monk in Thailand. A powerful theme is the concept of the circle in time portrayed through the relationship of the father and son, exemplified with his experience with his father and again with the experience with his son.

The title itself is based on a talk given by one of his teachers when he told the class he was going to give them a mantra. I personally think if you needed a light read but still comes out of reading a book feeling wiser and motivated, you need to pick this up. I often pass the ruins of a monastery when I’m out for a walk, and I wonder what it would have been like to live there four or five hundred years ago. Samtidigt tycker jag inte så värst mycket om språket och jag kan tycka att vissa delar känns en aning lösryckta. The book has such a strong, consistent voice - with a characteristic sense of humour and lightness of tone - that it’s surprising indeed to learn that it has been a collaboration.

It brought me so much joy and so much comfort' FEARNE COTTON The Sunday Times bestselling book of comfort and timeless wisdom from former forest monk, Bj örn Natthiko Lindeblad___________ Let me tell you what this book is not. The new album has a lot of lyrics that relate to globalist agendas mentioned in NO LOGO, police state, and the general apathy of the population. Han har en förmåga att ta ner det stora på ett vardagligt plan, tror många skulle må bra om att påminna sig om vikten av närvaro, att släppa taget om tankar, att ha kärlek och medkänsla för alla delar av sig själv.

I think throughout the song it shows an agnostic or a skeptical Christian slowly gaining belief and becoming almost a 'blind sheep' type Christian.

Even though he meditated for 20 years (and lived as munk for 17), he STILL seemed to crave attention from other people.Böcker är eviga visdomar och att Natthikos bok gör det möjligt för efterlevande att få ta del av hans ord, även efter hans död, är en gåva.

Svarīgākais, ko esmu ieguvis septiņpadsmit gadus ilgajā garīgajā treniņā, ir atskārsme, ka vairs neticu visam, ko domāju. the song is most definitely a direct reference to advaita vedanta hinduism and buddhism, and many other forms of hinduism/eastern religions. There’s plenty of humour in the initial stages as he talks about the problems he faces as a monk - he doesn’t take himself too seriously. This is the first "self-help" book I've read where I felt that the author was deeply self-aware and humble.Infusing the everyday with heart and grace, this is a wise and soothing handbook for navigating life's challenges. As someone who meditates, and continues to have an attachment to thought, this is something I can very much relate to. I made lots of highlights throughout this book - sentences and paragraphs that I want to go back to, to re-read and think more deeply about.
