Description

Sunscreen- SPF is important overall, but even more important when using direct actives/acid in your routine. Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs): Plant or synthetically-derived acids that exfoliate and visibly refine texture

The First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA delivers the benefits of a chemical peel and micro-dermabrasion treatment in one. Glycolic and Lactic Acids at a combined level of 10% help loosen skin’s top layer and decongest pores with Pumice Buffing Beads that whisks it all away. First Aid Beauty is a PETA certified cruelty-free brand; they do not test any of their products on animals. This fast-acting body scrub uses Glycolic & Lactic acids, at a combined level of 10% AHAs, to help resurface skin’s top layer + Pumice to physically exfoliate. Why It's Worth It: This body scrub takes a slightly different approach from others: While it contains lactic acid, as many do, it pairs that with pomegranate enzyme ferment, which is a gentler alternative to exfoliating acids. That makes it milder but no less effective. It also offers a physical exfoliant, with exfoliating beads to slough off dead skin. Together, they help skin feel smooth and buttery-soft, but not at all dry.Editor Tip: While the Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion is a staple, Mamina Turegano, MD, a board-certified dermatologist in Louisiana, also recommends the Rapid Relief Restoring Lotion, which pairs 15% exfoliating lactic acid with three types of ceramides to intensely hydrate skin. Steareth-21, Myristic Acid, Sodium Isethionate, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, EDTA. Pumice, Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycolic Acid, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Lactic Acid, Dimethicone, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide, Palmitic Acid, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Sorbitol, Colloidal Oatmeal, Tocopherol, Chrysanthemum Parthenium (Feverfew) Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Bisabolol, Hydrogenated Coconut Acid, Xanthan Gum, Steareth-20, The Skinfix Body Cream (left in the image above) is described as a hydrating body cream that gently exfoliates, smooths and softens rough and bumpy skin. The moisturizer is formulated with 5% natural AHA and lime extract. I found the cream to be super moisturizing and great to use during the winter months. A little of this product went a long way and the jar lasted me for a very long time. As for the results, I found that this cream did very little to actually help with the effects of my KP.Make-up and skincare services, BrowBar benefit, gifting and personalisation workshop, Sephora offers you a whole range of services to come and discover in store Not only does this stuff work almost immediately- my legs were smooth, bright, and everything was so flat - no KP bumps or little red ingrowns, but I have found that it’s reducing the appearance of my stretch marks as well! Sunburn Alert: This product contains Glycolic and Lactic Acids that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Ingredients Editor Tip: New York City-based dermatologist Hadley King, MD, also gives First Aid Beauty's KP Smoothing Body Lotion a hearty stamp of approval. "It contains lactic acid and urea to gently exfoliate and smooth the skin, as well as colloidal oatmeal and ceramides to support the skin barrier," she explains. The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream (right in the image above) is known for being great to use from head to toe. The cream is light weight but yet still very moisturizing. Many people love using this cream on their face, but I prefer to use it on my body. The Ultra Repair Cream is formulated with great ingredients like squalene, Colloidal Oatmeal, Shea Butter and Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, which are all known to be nourishing to the skin. This has been a great cream to apply after using the glycolic solution as I feel that it helps to keep skin moisturized longer.

Application: Apply onto wet skin and gently massage with fingertips onto problem areas. Rinse and pat dry, then follow with moisturiser. Use 1-2 times a week as toleratedGreat for stretch marks with regular use!!! I’ve been using this for the past 3 months (2x a week) to help with KP and razor bumps on my things. Vitamin E: A vitamin rich in antioxidants that helps condition and soothe skin and stave off environmental aggressors. I really think it’s a good idea to treat this routine as I would with my face. Being that I use actives and acids on my face, I also make sure to use a great sunscreen. I apply this same rule to my body. I don’t have a particular body sunscreen that I use religiously. But I do think if you’re using acids on the body, it would be best to limit your exposure to the skin.

I waited to write this review until after 1.5 months of using the product. I have KP and nothing has worked before as well as First Aid Beauty!! I have tried lactic lotions, prescription lotions, and cortisone. Sadly none of these were very effective and some even made the KP worse. I included two photos one before and one after 1.5 months. I finally am not embarrassed to show off my arms!! Ingredients: Pumice, Water, Glycolic Acid, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Lactic Acid, Dimethicone, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Hydroxide, Palmitic Acid, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Sorbitol, Colloidal Oatmeal, Tocopherol, Chrysanthemum Parthenium (Feverfew) Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Bisabolol, Hydrogenated Coconut Acid, Xanthan Gum, Steareth-20, Steareth-21, Myristic Acid, Sodium Isethionate, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, EDTA. Ingredients: Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Stearyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate, Glycerin, Olus Oil (Vegetable Oil), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Caprylyl Caprylate/Caprate, Propanediol, Glyceryl Stearate, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Betaine, Microcitrus Australasica Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Extract, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Panthenol, Tocopherol, Allantoin, Xanthan Gum, Bisabolol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Limonene.

I used this 1-2 times per week and would let it sit on my arms for about 5-10 minutes before washing off. The First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA (Hybrid Physical & Chemical Exfoliation) Chicago-based board-certified dermatologist Caroline Robinson, MD, is also a fan of the Exfoliating Body Wash, in particular. Its "8.8 free acid value of glycolic acid is mild enough for sensitive skin but effective enough for dry, rough, bumpy, or flaky skin on the body," she says of the body polish, which can be used to treat dry or scaly feet and legs — as well as the rest of the body. In addition to recommending this wash for KP, Dr. Robinson says the brightening formula also helps reduce hyperpigmentation, too.
