Paul is about six; his possession of the bedknob and the Isle of Naboombu children's book lead to the group's adventures as well as the eventual solution to the quest for the Substitutiary Locomotion spell. Paul is prone to blurting out whatever is on his mind, which occasionally leads to trouble. Bedknobs and Broomsticks: Enchanted Musical Edition DVD Review Bedknobs and Broomsticks: Enchanted Musical Edition DVD Review

Lincoln Loud and Ronnie Anne's Adventures of Disney's Sing Along Songs Vol. 13 The Lion King Circle of Life Tessie O'Shea as Mrs. Jessica "Jessie" Hobday, the local postmistress of Pepperinge Eye and chairman of the War Activities Committee. Mary Poppins (45th Anniversary Edition) • The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (Special Two-Disc Collector's Edition) Growing Up with Winnie the Pooh Videos with clips of "Making Friends", "Sharing and Caring", and "Helping Others". (announced by John Sachs)

This will not ease reservations anyone holds about Disney Channel programming. Ms. Stone talks fast and ditzily as we learn how the sodium vapor screen process used on Bedknobs differs from the green screen effects of "Waverly Place." The piece runs just 7 minutes and 30 seconds; an additional 35 seconds consist of text telling you all the ways you can consume the sitcom. Oy. This Enchanted Musical Edition registers as a disappointment. The feature presentation is the same mixed-bag reconstruction of the previous DVD, with the tauter theatrical cut still not offered. More surprisingly, the release offers a pretty blatant downgrade in the bonus features department. The one all-new addition plays like an extended and inappropriate promo for "Wizards of Waverly Place"; for a far better piece on Disney visual effects, you need only look to the recent reissue of Pete's Dragon. That an art gallery, film facts, bonus shorts, and half of the Sherman Brothers featurette from Bedknobs' 30th Anniversary Edition DVD are dropped in favor of "Wizards" and Blu-ray promotion is a pretty good indication that a 2-disc set was called for. Plus, what a missed opportunity to catch up with Angela Lansbury and the kids. There is an old UK PAL VHS with the running time of 97 minutes, and I'm guessing this is rounded up Foster, Jeff (2014). The full negative aspect ratio is 1.37:1. Movie theaters would have received the 1.37:1 version and then been asked to project it at the intended theatrical ratio of 1.66:1 as seen on DVD. The VHS and Laserdisc aspect ratios are pan and scan 1.33:1. It seems that Disney choose to go with the original theatrical ratio on some films and then the negative ratio with the others, even cropping slightly on some releases just to match a 1.78:1 HD 1080p TV screen. It would be nice if they were a bit more consistent (like putting both the full negative or animation ratio, along with the original theatrical ratio on Blu-ray). Anyway, here goes... David Tomlinson as Mr. Emelius Browne. Introduced as "Professor Browne," the title by which Miss Price knows him, he is running a Correspondence College of Witchcraft based on what he believes to be "nonsense words" found in an old book. When Miss Price and the children find him in London, he is revealed to be a street performer and con artist, and not a very good one. He is, however, a smooth talker, which proves useful on the group's adventures, and believes in doing everything "with a flair." As the adventures unfold, he finds himself developing an attachment to Miss Price and the children, a feeling he struggles with; Browne becomes the adoptive father to the Rawlins siblings at the end of the film and enlists himself in the military, while promising his new family that he'll return.
