During the Great Wars and until the reign of King Grayskull, Castle Grayskull was also a center of religion, particularly the worship of Eternia's Goddess. On season 4 episode 10 of the Netflix series Lucifer, Lucifer tells one of the demons "By the power of Grayskull. Large Castle Grayskull is a thrilling MOTU playset for fans who love to play out Masters of the Universe adventures! While it was fairly complete, it didn't have any of the cardboard pieces such as the robot/ space suit, small weapons rack, or the computer console. This Origins version feels a bit more planned and designed, rather than asymmetrical and organic like the original, but it all comes together very nicely for the outer facade.

This floor is mostly taken up by the elevator space but there are a few cool little features to point out. I don't know but it's kind of a cool effect that definitely seems more inspired than just plain green. Veena was succeeded by Kuduk Ungol, who in turn was succeeded by Teela Na, the current Sorceress of Grayskull. There are lots of Masters of the Universe toylines out there but not all of them get a Castle Grayskull.

Something really cool you'll notice, though, is that there are two gold skulls on top of the elevator housing. i still wish it sat on a balljoint, though, but the hinged work here and you can rotate the weapon at the base. When we first learned that Director: David Gordon Green would be talking over the iconic Halloween franchise, my thoughts could best be described as skeptical at best.

The elevator actually is a bit smaller than the vintage elevator and no longer uses a pull string to raise and lower it. It takes a minute or two to get the floors and such detached, but you could definitely carry this around easily to different rooms of your house. The castle is surrounded by a bottomless abyss, which doubles as a moat in at least one episode, and a Jawbridge (a drawbridge formed by the lower jaw of the castle's "mouth") is used to come across it. There is also a special edition Sorceress figure which can be displayed with all the other Origins 5. There are a number of magical doors inside the castle, most of them in the Portal Chamber, that serve as portals to various locations on Eternia, including Snake Mountain, and at least one that leads to Etheria.
