The flavour is strong and clear and with the boost power level I am getting a great throat hit too. The next coil lasted 8 days – which is good going as I really am hammering this kit for the nic salt hit! The key to great vaping is in the coils! Choose low wattage 1.2ohm MTL or higher wattage 0.5ohm RDL coils, then adjust the airflow on the side of the pod to match your vaping style. The Sceptre detects the coil and adjusts the wattage automatically. Press the button, or puff to activate the Sceptre, and vape your way!

Both coils are made out of Kanthal, with the 0.5-ohm coil being mesh while the 1.2-ohm coil regular round wire. Note that the 1.2-ohm coil is gold while the 0.5-ohm coil is silver, so it is easy to distinguish between them even when they are inside the pod. Performance wise, flavour is excellent & surprisingly goods clouds. As a comparison, if you've used the Zlide tank the Sceptre easily beats it. As you use the Innokin Sceptre, you’re going to find that the flavour changes over time. Usually, you’ll find that you can use an atomizer coil for several days before it requires replacement – and when you’re no longer happy with the flavour you get when vaping, it’s time for a new coil. As usual this will vary according to your own vaping habits, power level, coil resistance etc. But to give you a guide…Use a certified wall charger with a high quality microUSB cable. Monitor the device and verify that it is charging. Wait until the device is fully charged. Note: All batteries have a limited number of full charge cycles. A battery capacity may decrease based on charging and use over time. Note: Make sure that the device’s battery always has some amount of charge/power. I was very impressed with the power regulation, even down to the last few vapes before the battery died there was no loss of power! When the pod is installed – the pod light allows you to just about see the e-liquid level at the side of the pod but most of the pod is obscured by the mod body. The Sceptre Tube kit is a bit of a strange one, limited to just 1 coil (0.5ohm S-Coil), 18-20 watts and aimed at RDL users which makes it a little niche, but with that it does excel in what it sets out to do, and the simplicity makes it a really good choice for new vapers and the budget friendly price makes it an even safer bet.

Change power level – turn off the device and hold the power button in. The lights above the button will change colour. The green light is the standard power level and the purple light is the boost power mode. Release the power button when the light illuminates for the power mode you want. It will cycle between both power modes when you hold the button down.Use special caution when using Li-Ion cells, they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. Some of the colours look stunning – but the honeycomb paint effects look a bit strange as there is just a random splash of colour which makes it look like some of the paint has chipped off. The fire button position also caught me out a few times when I was carrying the device – it is very easy to accidentally trigger the fire.

E-liquid level not visible with pod installed – also the cute white LED of the original which lit up the pod compartment is not present on this version. To vape you can either just inhale to trigger the automatic airflow sensor or press the fire button.
