I haven't read a book in awhile that has left me so affected, so happy, so...GAH! I LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT. I'm feeling particularly confused right now because I want to say so much but I don't know how! So to save time and space, I'll point out what I loved, adored, gobbled up so much: First of all, I love football. Or soccer, as it is called on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. I think that it is the bestest sport that has been created on the face of Earth. Miluju tenhle příběh! Moc mě bavilo prostředí, ve kterém se kniha odehrávala. Na fotbal jsem nikdy moc nebyla, ale nakonec jsem byla příjemně překvapená. Příběh mě bavil okamžitě. So that part made me lowkey uncomfortable, but I can mostly overlook it because it was only mentioned a couple of times at the beginning when Kulti was really pissing Sal off.

My only complaint with this book is that it takes forever for anything to happen between these two outside of friendship. There is more, though. We see how Sal must battle jealousy, unmerited gossip, and the pain of being an athlete. She is focused and easy in her life having her family as a support system with two close teammates as personal friends and her business partner. Konec mě naštval. Vzhledem k tomu, že si hlavní postavy od sebe 450 stran držely odstup a dávaly si na to sakra pozor, čekala jsem, že se do konce knihy možná chytí za ruku, políbí se, řeknou si, jak se mají rády. Místo toho přišly dvě kapitoly explicitního sexu, který se mi sem, vzhledem ke zbytku knihy, vůbec nehodil. Copak už to v dnešní době bez toho nejde? Vyjádřit se jemně, něžně, jen v náznacích....A ne popisovat, jak do "toho" spolu hrdinové "bušili". I'm not going to lie. I was struggling in the beginning until I reached the 30% mark and then finally, finally the story caught my interested. I cannot speak for everyone, but you won't make any german friends anytime soon if you think that's an valid insult to call them.

I love Sal so much, she workes so hard to get to her position and she works other jobs too. She never depends on anyone and she’s kind and hopeful. Sal’s character is so caring and loving even at the begging with the rude players and kulti, I loved that about her. I thought Dallas from wait for it is grumpy but oh boy Kulti is the definition of a grumpy character. In the beginning, he is rude and so grumpy but slowly he became one of my favorite book boyfriends. I loved him so much and how he cares for Sal in his ways. was this book perfect?? absolutely not. but it was perfect to me and thats all that matters. im gonna forgive its flaws i love her enough for it i don’t wanna hear any slander.

It's working for MZ books, so why even change a running system? Between angst, family moments, hard training, commitment and passion, bad choices, careers that are ready to fly or to be destroyed; Kulti will manage to squeeze his life into Sal’s life. Not that Sal was not ready to love him. She was in love with him since before she knew what love it. the romantic development between sal and kulti was delivered perfectly. the buildup was so natural and not rushed. it was strictly a coach and player relationship which leads to a heartwarming friendship then gradually builds up to a romantic level. i love that we got to experience the relationship develop naturally.sal - i loved her. she was a lil weirdo and i loved it all. i related with her connecting to her dad over their love of soccer because growing up, watching soccer games was one of those few things that united my family and i. her and her dad’s relationship was absolutely precious.
