There are also some short featurettes included here. All Roads Lead to Cokey: The Making Of Cocaine Bear is a nine minute piece that introduces the main cast members, spends some time with director Banks and offers some details about the real life situation that inspired the movie in the first place. UnBEARable Bloodbath: Dissecting The Kills is an eight minute piece that looks at what went into creating the different kill scenes featured in the movie. Doing Lines is a four minute piece where different cast members practice their lines. Plot: What’s it about? Video: How’s it look? Audio: How’s it sound? Supplements: What are the extras? The Bottom Line Plot: What’s it about? Details are amplified throughout the film, including very fine skin and clothing details and certainly world elements like leaves and tree trunks. Alternate Ending – In the “not so different, yet it doesn’t make sense” category we’ve got this. About a 20 second “alternate ending” that had me scratching my head. Unbearable Bloodbath (HD, 8 Mins.) - A longer look at some of the more gruesome sequences and how they were made, which was a lot of fun.

Though not a fault of the transfer, the CGI effects (particularly the bear) are a bit sketchy. After all, there's no way to hide budget effects in a 1080p transfer. All of which means that Cocaine Bear has to work pretty hard to do something that we haven’t seen before, and although we’ve seen animals affected by pesticides, microwaves, laser beams from space and bits of meteors that have dropped in the sea, we haven’t actually seen a wild beast go mad on narcotics. And to a point, we still haven’t because this is 2023 and filmmakers are not going to give actual cocaine to an actual bear (although had this been made in the 1970s by, say, John Milius or Werner Herzog then that is probably what would have happened).Remarkable by how completely unremarkable they are for a major studio release in this day and age... Directed by Elizabeth Banks (Charlie's Angels, Pitch Perfect 2) from a screenplay by Jimmy Warden (The Babysitter: Killer Queen), Cocaine Bear is produced by Oscar® winners Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, The Mitchells vs. The Machines) for Lord Miller, Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect franchise) and Max Handelman (Pitch Perfect franchise) for Brownstone Productions, Brian Duffield (Spontaneous) for Jurassic Party Productions and Aditya Sood (The Martian) for Lord Miller. The film is executive produced by Robin Mulcahy Fisichella, Alison Small and Nikki Baida.
