Anyway, a little off topic, but I seriously recommend this novel, whether or not you’re a sansheng fan or a regular reader. jin lei is also surprisingly cute...especialy in the first world. he works hard for his goals and that goal is...just read the book. he is also basicly just a runofthemill chinese wuxia romance ML though. nothing realy unique or TOO surprising about him. What I liked about this story is that it felt like an original idea, rather than being inspired by another story. In Sansheng, the three lifetimes were more or less similar to one another in which all three took place in ancient China and in Heaven. Whereas Three Lifetimes felt more flexible because each lifetime was set in different eras and worlds.

It started off well, but as it went on it felt really rushed and forced. Really the whole story felt rushed. I think it would have been better if each arc had taken more time establish itself and end itself properly.i really like the characters, juju is so cute and you just wana see how she developes relationships with jin lei in each world. she is very strate forward and optimistic. she is basicly a runofthemill wuxia romance FL... but i really like her. I didn't hate it or anythig. I was just a little dissapointed. I thought this story would be very different from what it actually turned out to be. I was drawn in by the promise of a romance where the women does the chasing for a indifferent man as a change of pase. What it was... something else lol. The ending of the 3rd arc felt too rushed, as well. Luce dies too abruptly and Alenaire becomes depressed. While, yes, the story says Alenaire felt depressed and fell ill about Luce and Zephyr dying, but I didn’t exactly feel her agony and pain from separating from her love, Luce.

Fortunately, the author was sympathetic enough to give us a Jin-Juju lifetime (#2) that was all giggles. I honestly thought that it'd be yaoi but I don't know how the author managed to make it even better by going in a whole new direction. Definitely re-reading this if I'm in mood for 'fluff' and 'no drama'. that each time is in a new world. the fist was the typical chinese wuxia world setting that gods get reincarnated to. the second swiched things up by being in a modern earth world likeourown, and the last one is a sword and sorcery type word. this is what sets it apart from the norm and i like it. As I’m sure you can tell my major problem with the story is that it all felt so rushed. That why i rate it at a 3.5; I won’t really give it a higher score when i felt that it was so rushed. I like this story, a lot. It's light hearted, fun, endearing, and dramatic all in different proportions across the 3 arcs. The grammar is very good and the prose is often quite hilarious. If you have not read this, you should, because it's good. All in all, this is very solid 4/5. I actually took off half a star because of some issues I had with the story construction, but those are relatively minor. If you're looking for a cold, ruthless MC, this book isn't for you. Juju is a ball of sunshine, and I love her for it. She's sweet, mischievous, and ambient, but not some Mary Sue saint. Jin Lei isn't some a** to her, and they are such a cute couple. I find her and all the characters around her funny—even her father who is the death god and her uncle who is the Jade Emperor. I especially loved her spirit beast/ guy friend/ cat, Seiren. The characters, while seemingly 1-dimensional at first, manage to be endearing and show depth, especially in the last arc. As I mentioned before, they play really well off of one another and I came out of this reading experience liking the entire main cast.

Third: While i liked the character interactions, and that they were all different; I also felt that for side characters their development felt so rushed. You seem to have trouble concluding story arcs. All three arcs had rushed and forced endings and I feel it's consistently happening because you know how each is supposed to end, but have trouble getting there naturally. I think you would be better served writing such conclusions out longer, as your beginning and middle parts of each arc were really well built.Juju fell in love with Jin Lei, the God of War, at first glance. Determined to sweep him off his feet, she accompanies him down to the mortal realm as he takes on his three trials to attain greater divinity. Rewatch Value 8.5 WARNING: I do tend to vote a little nicer, so other's opinions might be different. It was very captivating because I really wanted to know who the girl ends up with. It was a pain watching each episode because both male leads are very good candidates for a husband, so you will be on the edge of your seat the entire time. I loved both of them. It was a little sad at times, but I didn't cry that much. I personally think this is a great cast. The female lead did a great job. She tends to talk very softly at times and it makes me feel really nice and comfortable. She also cries a lot and I think she looks nice crying, but near the latter half, she cried A LOT. I love both male leads, and I think that Zhu Yi Long portrayed his character really well. He is kind of expressionless. For the first 10 or even 20 episodes, he rarely smiled. Despite being really happy or really loves the girl, he just talks with a poker face. It is actually pretty hard to always not smile when he wanted to. He also loves the main girl dearly. I really dislike the ending. Some people might like it, but I preferred that they go without it. The latter half got a bit draggy for me, but other than that, it was fine. Music-wise, I like the theme song, which is by Zhu Yi Long. One of the insert songs is good too. I rated story 9 because I liked the whole guessing husband thing. Rewatch value is just plain opinion. I would've rated overall a 10, but that ending and the drag of the later half ruined that perfect score.

However, there were certain things that occurred which left me feeling a little… mixed- not necessarily distaste or anger, just mixed feelings. The cover is a snippet from the novel's new comic on Tapas, where you could also find the novel, as it's no longer on Wattpad) EDIT [14.05.2023]: Can't find the book nor the author on Wattpad any longer 😕. Guess re-read needs to wait till I find this treasure again.. In arc 2, Gary's transition from super evil bully to possibly gay harem member happened way too fast. It really left me scratching my head as that transition happened over the course of a few chapters and felt out of place.

EDIT : Author has shifted her work over to Tapas! And released a webtoon version of it as well! Don't mind me running over to read that~ This girl so unhinged it was kind of funny. In a really groomer,y pedo, cultural difference beacue this troupe is completely nomal in asia kind of way. In the begining she falls in love with the ML at first sight and the romance feels very shallow. I didn't really mind that because I think attraction is a good starting point for any relationship and I though that they wouldhave to talk and form a deeper connection at some point. Except, thats not what happened at all.
