The game has questions about the show Stranger Things, as well as the 1980s, including the decade’s culture, personalities, trends, and events. For young adults, the show is a gateway to the time of their parents’ youth. Combining a fan favorite show from a popular streaming portal with nostalgia and longing for the past was an excellent move on behalf of Hasbro and Trivial Pursuit! Crossover marketing at its finest. Trivial Pursuit has come out with some bite-sized editions of the game. Bite-sized editions are just smaller versions of the game. They’re often treated as travel versions, and some only focus on one category. This edition came with the following categories: The newest edition of Trivial Pursuit, Trivial Pursuit Horror Ultimate Edition, came out in 2020. As if the year itself has not been scary enough, the brand wanted to scare its followers even more with some horror trivia! You might be wondering, why did Hasbro feel the need to release this edition of Trivial Pursuit? The company was betting on the feeling of nostalgia many people get for the 80s, particularly Gen Xers. The era has become nostalgic and romantic for younger people too, as they are getting to experience it through television shows. It seems to be the perfect formula to connect with every generation!

Since its first release in 1981, Trivial Pursuit has become the most popular trivia board game around the world. The game has sold more than 100 million copies and has spawned numerous versions involving specific concepts and promotional tie-ins such as the Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings film series, multiple television shows and online versions where you can compete with others around the world. With the fall season just around the corner that could only mean one thing and that is we’re getting closer to the Halloween season. What better way for horror fans to get together to watch their favorite scary movies and perhaps play a board game. With categories ranging from Gore & Disturbing to Paranormal horror, this version of Trivial Pursuit will feature multiple-choice questions on books, TV, film and more horror-related subjects. As in standard Trivial Pursuit, the first player to successfully answer one question from each of the six available horror categories, as well as a final random question, is named the game’s winner. This lamp inspired by Pennywise’s iconic (and deeply unsettling) balloon is up there in terms of sheer novelty excellence when it comes to horror gifts, even if perhaps isn’t the brightest light in the world.

Only the most hardened horror fanatics will dare to play this terrifying edition of the classic trivia game. Players will move around the board to answer questions about their favorite genre to collect wedges and complete the full circle of six to win! 1,800 spine-tingling questions let you take on six reference-heavy categories sure to elevate your heart rate: Gore & Disturbing, Psychological, Killer, Monster, Comedy, and Paranormal. Whether you just enjoy to quiz yourself on your favorites from the genre or you’re planning the ultimate Halloween party, these scary movie trivia questions can liven up a dull day, get your friends and family involved, and lead to loads of creepy, crawly fun. The die included in the set is color-coded, with each color representing a category. The color that the die lands on will tell you which question you have to answer. Instead of gathering all of the wedges of the pie as you would in a regular game of Trivial Pursuit, players must answer 12 questions correctly or collect 6 cards to win. It’s been a full 12 years since we saw the last Genus edition. Will we ever see another one again? Same same but different? Following up on 2018’s Trivial Pursuit: Horror Movie Edition, the upcoming board game includes 1,800 questions covering the horror genre across multiple mediums. Courtesy of USAopoly As an avid trivia fan (seriously, I have ten different editions of Trivial Pursuit in my closet), I was incredibly excited to hear about the new TRIVIAL PURSUIT HORROR: ULTIMATE EDITION , an upgrade from their previous boardless version. I invited a few friends, all horror fans of varying horror trivia knowledge, and we gathered (over Zoom) to play a game. Those of us who are not big fans of horror will never understand how this game received so much praise in its first year. The truth is, the questions present the perfect balance of fun and challenging, but only true horror fans can appreciate them. Needless to say, if you don’t consider yourself a horror movie whiz, this game is not for you. The questions will simply be too difficult, which is one of the most annoying things a trivia player can experience. Missing content: I cannot 3D model for beans, so I did not recreate the very cool player pieces that come with the official version of the game. If you ever create such models (or even standee fascimiles) let me know. I was also unable to reskin the Trivial Pursuit box to match the one for this edition of the game, so it's the standard one.

The OP recently announced that another pop culture icon would be joining Marvel, Star Wars and Harry Potter in the company’s ‘Rising’ series - Spongebob Squarepants, in the upcoming board game Spongebob: Plankton Rising. Following on from movie board games Thanos Rising: Avengers Infinity War and Star Wars: Dark Side Rising, Plankton Rising is a co-op board game that sees players working together to prevent the evil mastermind, Plankton, by recruiting allies and overcoming the villain’s traps.

So, without further ado, here are some of the best horror movie trivia questions, and their answers split up into different categories for your convenience. Horror Movie Deaths Anyone who has looked in the game aisle for this game will know there are a ton of different editions. From Trivial Pursuit editions that are specific to a movie, TV show, or generation to high-tech versions, there are a lot to choose from. How are you supposed to know which one to buy for your next game night? If you’re shopping for a special someone this Halloween or just want to treat yourself to something a bit macabre for Christmas, we have you covered. Below you’ll find all sorts of horror gifts, ranging from video games to costumes and everything in-between. They may or may not also be haunted, but that’s just a risk you’re going to have to be willing to take. Do you really want a shining bright night light for the clown himself, though? Plug it into a USB port and find out. Trivial Pursuit is a board game that has been around for decades. The game was a smash success, so the first version was just the starting point! Several dozen editions of Trivial Pursuit have come out since its launch in 1983, with new versions coming out every year. If you ever get bored with your same old Trivial Pursuit board game, you can choose another one from a wide variety of editions.

The second most wonderful time of the year is right around the corner. We’re talking about Christmas, which is still cool, but it’s certainly no Halloween. October 31st is when everyone lets loose and dresses like the most obscure pop culture character they know for cool points. You may also get some horror gifts for Halloween, like an earlier and more hardcore version of Christmas. Cards with 1800 Questions – Categories include Gore & Disturbing, Psychological, Killer, Monster, Paranormal, and Comedy Bite-sized editions usually come with 600 questions and a die. Some editions even come with a cheese wheel, but not this one! You can play the game on its own or use the cards with a game board, provided you already have one.Indulge a darker side of quizzing in the newest version of classic family board game Trivial Pursuit: Horror Ultimate Edition.
