Botanical's include Tuscan juniper, cassia bark, angelica, Florentine orris, coriander, Seville citrus peel, nutmeg, cinnamon and liquorice root which makes a fresh lively gin.

botanicals are used to create the Martin Miller's Gin recipe including juniper, coriander, angelica root, orange peel, Lemon Peel, Lime oil, orris root, cassia bark, ground nutmeg, liquorice and cucumber distillate. To obtain Martin Miller’s balanced and smooth taste, the citrus and earth botanicals are distilled separately. Along with the likes of Hendrick's it can be fairly be said that Martin Miller's has been a label behind the renaissance of gin over the last twenty years and the multitude of small batch, artisan and exclusive premium gins that have followed in his wake have much to thank him for. In this super smooth gin you will find the classic botanicals of juniper, coriander, angelica root, orange and lemon peel, lime oil, orris root and cassia bark, along with ground nutmeg, liquorice and cucumber distillate.

Another feature is the distillation with lemon zest, orange, nutmeg, cinnamon and coriander in addition to classic spices and juniper berries. The gin is then transported to Iceland to be blended with Icelandic spring water - the world's purest. Flown to Iceland for mixing with their pure water after distillation, demonstrating how obsessed with the quality of the gin the makers are. There is a light cucumber edge and a sweetness that comes in part from the softness of the water which add to the overall complexity of the spirit. It is handcrafted to its core and carries a two part distillation process where only the "heart" of the spirit is used.

The second distillate is flavoured with the remaining seven botanicals: juniper, coriander, angelica, cassia, liquorice root, nutmeg and Florentine iris. A collaboration between pure Icelandic water and English distillation, they use a unique distillation process with two seperate distillations - the first with juniper and earthier botanicals, and the second distillation with the citrus peels, combining the both distillates later giving a clearer emphasis on the juniper flavour and bright, fresh citrus notes. Martin Miller quested to create a seductive gin so good that it would rejuvenate the market, experimenting with different combinations and proportions of botanicals. First launched in 2003, Martin Miller’s Westbourne Gin was a response to requests by ‘mixologists’ for a version of Martin Miller’s Gin that would give a more ‘old school’ authenticity to their classic repertoire of cocktails and help them create more complex, fully-flavoured inventions. Smooth and delicate with lemon and pine notes on the nose and citrus on the palate, leading into balanced juniper and a soft, fresh finish.

From the launch it enjoyed an underground cult status as the bartender’s favourite, it became something of a closely-guarded secret among the bar fraternity. The gin is distilled at Langley's distillery in the west midlands using traditional methods, with the help of the beloved copper pot still named "Angela".

Throughout the intervening period it gathered a host of golds and platinum’s from worldwide tasting panels and juries, but stubbornly remained a gin ‘for those in the know’. Martin Miller’s is made at Langley Distillery, with the botanicals separated and distilled in two separate batches. Ice originating from snowfall 800 years ago is melted by the heat of a volcano, and is so pure it doesn’t require any processing or demineralisation. It has consistently won more awards for excellence in the world’s leading spirit competitions than any other gin in the last 15 years.Founded in 1999, Martin Miller's is the world's most awarded gin having won more gold and platinum medals than any other gin in the last ten years at the world's most respected competitions.
