I mainly used my own e-liquid mix which is 50/50 PG/VG made from IVG Bubblegum Concentrate at 20% ratio. This is quite high a flavour ratio as I prefer plenty of flavour, but sadly this means it can be a coil killer sometimes. Filling the pod is made easy thanks to the V2 side or V3 top filling port – meaning there is no need to remove the pod from the device to fill with the V3. The base is where you’ll find the USB port, so you need to lay it down to charge. It has rounded edges which are purely cosmetic, but to aid stability there is a ridge around the flat surfaces so it stands up very well when you put it down. Whilst it is nice to have a pod kit that stands up solidly, I did find it a little uncomfortable but that is down to the way I hold smaller devices. I usually sort of rest it on the crook of my little finger as this is the best position for me when it comes to lining my other fingers up with the fire button, and the ridge rubs slightly. We found a full charge takes around 50 minutes if the kit is completely dead. There can be no doubt that the most important thing for a vape kit, particularly a pod device like this, is it’s flavour production. With the rise of disposables and the incredible flavour they produce, pod devices need to be able to match this. Does the Xlim C do this? Yes, absolutely it does. The mesh coils that OXVA use are something of wizardry, they perfectly replicate that disposable flavour and the Xlim C is on par with the Xlim SE in this regard. We would recommend if you are trying to achieve that disposable flavour, to use a high quality juice like Elfliq (made by Elf Bar) or Bar Juice 5000 which both contain disposable flavours. With the 0.8ohm coil I got between 6-8 hours of heavy vaping on the highest power level. This equates to around 5 pod fills. When it comes to the pods, I definitely prefer the top-fill system of the Caliburn devices, as the side/bottom-fill on the Xlim C pods is fiddly and not as accessible. Still, the Xlim C pods have a really nice, ergonomic shape overall and I haven’t experienced a single drop of leakage yet—something once considered inevitable when vaping a pod kit.This has definitely more of an RDL vape than before and still closes off enough for an excellent MTL vape too!
