I had it installed about a year ago in a bedroom ceiling where a gas boiler has been installed for safety reason even though the boiler if a top make and is sealed to prevent gases from escaping into the room. I installed the batteries, tested it and attached it on the edge of a door frame in my hallway. It is working nicely and I have experienced no problems since I fitted it.
